Student answer (Band 5.0)

Obesity is now become a global problem.Increase in weight can be due to several reason but the main issue which lead towards weight gain among each indiviuals is different.

Overall, there are several different reason but the main problem among youngsters is junk food advrtisement as we all know that now adays people spends aout half of their time on phone using social media. And there is alot ok advertisment related to food every 60 people out f 100 are making videos on food which influence people to eat junk food. However, now adays people dont have much physical activity like past generations .In the past people they dont have much technologies and also they dont eat unhealty food.

For instance, there is a research on reason about teenage obeisity. In that research reseacher tells that when we are watching videos wit eating lot of junk food.they wil end up by ordering some food o them selvies too.and in the end they dont have proper physical activity to do then this lead them foe reason of weight gain.

In my opinion, advertisement is the main cause for this problem and it should be banned at some extent specially in teenage childern school but in contrast, those who think that advertisment doesn't affect the of life this generation or overall population. The way i look at this issue is that some time with food advertisment we can explore different new food for try .if we eat junk food by controlling ober desire maybe is should not lead us to obesiy.

In the conclusion, junk food advertisment should be banned beacuse it is the main reason of obesity amoung people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that junk-food advertising contributes to obesity and should be restricted, and you offer relevant points about social media exposure and limited physical activity. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing position is only briefly acknowledged: the idea that advertising can help people discover new foods is not developed into a clear argument for why advertising should remain permitted. Your example about teenagers watching food videos is relevant, but the claimed research is vague and the link between advertising, ordering food, and weight gain needs fuller explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the strongest argument on each side and support each with a specific, clearly reasoned example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has recognisable paragraphs for an introduction, supporting points, an example, your opinion, and a conclusion. Basic linking expressions such as “For instance,” “However,” and “In my opinion” help signal the direction of ideas. Nevertheless, progression is uneven: the second paragraph combines social-media advertising with a comparison to past generations, while the later paragraph shifts between your position and the opposing view without clearly separating them. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly “those who think that advertisment doesn't affect the of life this generation.” Use one paragraph to explain each view, then a separate paragraph for your judgement, and make each sentence build on the previous one. Clearer referencing and more precise transitions would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “junk food,” “advertisement,” “physical activity,” “teenage obesity,” and “weight gain,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “reason,” “food advertisment,” and “explore different new food for try.” Frequent spelling errors—including “indiviuals,” “unhealty,” and “obeisity”—also make parts of the response harder to read. Aim to use a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe advertising as “promoting energy-dense foods” and explain that it may “influence teenagers’ eating habits,” rather than repeating general references to food and advertisements.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional idea in “if we eat junk food by controlling ober desire maybe is should not lead us to obesiy.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “Obesity is now become,” “people spends,” and “this lead them.” Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, as in the long discussion of social-media videos. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause; then check subject–verb agreement and verb tense. More reliable control of these patterns would make your ideas much clearer.
