Student answer (Band 5.0)
In some societies, obesity is regarded as a major problem. Most of the people believe that fast food advertising is largely to blame for this problem and should be banned. However, other thought that junk food advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be restricted.
Some people believe that advertising is one of the biggest reason for abesity and also according to them it should be banned. Because they thought this is the only solution by this can reduce this problem. By advertising fast food we can see this food all over around us like on banners, billboard, television and also on newspapers. In this way people can easily distracted by this food. Also they thought government should banned this food to minimize obesity and all other kind of problems that could be cause by process food. For example, a person who go outside for buying something and he saw advertisments about this food all around him. As a result he buy that food and then diagnose by obesity. Process food is vrery harmful.
However, other believes that advertisments does not have any role in this desease and also banning this food is not a suitible solution. They have this view because they thouht these are very stupid solution, it depends on everyone choices some people choose healthy to eat while others choose unhealthy to eat. For example, a person who works in fast food chain but eat healthy food and a person who works as a dietition and consume process food. As a result, we have all kind of people with different perfrences.
From my perspective, government start progarams for educating residents. Because choosing a food is everyone's personal choice we should not force anyone to live their lives according to us.
In conclusion, some people believe advertisments have the biggest role for consuming junk food and also it should be restricted while other believe that advertisment do not force any one to eat this kind of food. Because they thought it's everyone's choice.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and give a personal position: you explain that advertising can expose people to tempting food, present the counterargument that eating habits are individual choices, and recommend education rather than restriction. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because the arguments are brief and often asserted rather than explained. For instance, the example of someone seeing an advert and then being diagnosed with obesity does not establish a convincing link between one purchase and obesity. Your position is clearest in “government start programs for educating residents,” but it would be stronger if you explained how education could reduce obesity and directly answered whether advertising should be banned. Develop each view with more relevant reasoning and a specific, plausible example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the main stages of your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and connections between claims are sometimes mechanical or unclear. Repeated use of “Because,” “For example,” and “As a result” does not always show a sound logical relationship; the claim that a person buys advertised food and is then diagnosed with obesity is one example. The conclusion largely repeats the opposing views rather than bringing the discussion together. Improve the flow by linking each reason to its explanation and example, and use clearer references so readers can follow what “this food” and “this problem” refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general discussion, including “advertising,” “obesity,” “healthy,” and “unhealthy.” There are also attempts at more specific terms, such as “dietitian” and “personal choice.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, including “abesity,” “desease,” “perfrences,” and “process food.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “a suitible solution” and “all over around us.” Aim to use accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise language for cause and effect, such as “may encourage frequent consumption,” would help you explain the issue without making unsupported claims.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while,” and “who,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms. Examples include “other thought,” “one of the biggest reason,” “government should banned,” and “a person who go outside.” Several sentence fragments also appear, such as “Because they thought this is the only solution,” while “From my perspective, government start programs…” lacks a correctly formed main verb. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and connect dependent clauses to independent clauses. This will make your reasoning easier to follow.
