Student answer (Band 5.0)
Obesity is recorded as a serious issue in some of a ours soceity , However there are different opinion from people regarded to the obesity some of a people considered that marketing of junk food is a massive problem and should be banned but on other hand some people have a different opinion that advertising junk food does not connected to the matter of obesity and should not be banned .
Marketing of junk food should be illegal beause it is the main reason of obesity , i wil parcely agree with this statment beause some of people can be easily influnced and start eating junk food which is the main causing agent of obesity but compines also have a rights to adversting
their product which create employment at high consentration . Marketing of junk food can banned for small children, however banning junk food for all people is not good .
A certain indviual believed that junk food advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity, I will partially agree to this statment beasuse junk food can contribute the problem of obesity but that is a choice of selection of people that is there choice if they want to eat the junk food . Junk food can only banned for those unhealthy people which have serious issue cause from junk food or have high consentration of obesity also a limited selection of junk food should allowed to childrens .
In my perspective junk food adversting should not be banned we should just reduce the advertising marketing to not inspire thoese people who want to start a healthy diet .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a personal position, particularly in saying that advertising should not be banned outright but should be reduced and restricted for children. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that advertising is a “main reason” for obesity is not supported with a clear example or explanation, and the opposing view is presented mainly as personal choice rather than explored in depth. The point about companies creating employment is relevant to a ban, but its connection to the health arguments is not made clear. To strengthen the response, explain how advertising may influence eating habits, acknowledge other causes of obesity, and make your final position consistent and explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are joined in long sentences with unclear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from advertising and obesity to companies’ employment impact without explaining the link. Connectors such as “however,” “but,” and “also” are repeated or used where the contrast is not fully clear. Some references, including “this statement” and “that is there choice,” are difficult to follow. Use shorter, clearly focused paragraphs and link each claim to its explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “obesity,” “advertising,” “banned,” “influenced,” and “healthy diet,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “junk food,” “people,” and “problem.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “soceity,” “beause,” “adversting,” and “consentration,” make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your word choices. Some expressions are also unnatural, for example “main causing agent” and “a limited selection … should allowed.” Build a bank of accurate topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will help you express distinctions more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas using clauses and contrast, as in “some of people can be easily influenced … but companies also have a rights.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Examples include “advertising junk food does not connected,” “junk food can banned,” and “a limited selection of junk food should allowed,” where verb forms or auxiliary verbs are missing. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, such as “a ours society” and the comma splice after “issue.” Practise forming complete clauses with accurate subject–verb patterns, and use full stops to separate ideas when a sentence becomes difficult to control.
