Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response provides a general overview and identifies some key trends, such as Germany's dominance. However, the analysis is inconsistent and lacks precision. For instance, you mention that the UK, France, and Finland's ratios 'lessened' in China, but the data provided in the prompt is not fully utilized or accurately synthesized. The comparison between India and China is somewhat superficial, and the final sentence makes a broad claim about EU countries increasing their ratio in India compared to China that is not clearly supported by the data provided. To improve, ensure all key features are accurately reported and comparisons are logically grounded in the figures.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In the scenario of India' and 'Some countries are lagged' feel unnatural and do not effectively link ideas. The progression of information is sometimes disjointed, particularly when moving between the two countries. While there is an attempt to use transition words, the flow between sentences could be improved by using more sophisticated referencing and logical connectors to create a smoother narrative.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for a higher band. You rely on repetitive phrasing such as 'exporting goods' and 'sending goods'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'ratio is quite lessened' and 'amount of giving goods', which are not standard academic English. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'market share', 'witnessed a decline', or 'remained stable'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'Rest of the countries export ratio is fluctuating' (missing articles and possessives) and 'Spain, Italy, Netherlands and France are these countries which rises exporting goods' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction is often awkward. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
