Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the task but lacks precision in data reporting. While you identify key trends, such as the UK's decline and Germany's growth, the data interpretation is often inaccurate or confusing. For example, stating the UK was 29% 'in all over countries' is unclear, and the description of other countries as 'still dealing with very lowest Eu exports' is vague and lacks analytical depth. You have attempted to select main features, but the lack of clear, accurate comparisons between the two years and the two destinations prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on accurately reporting specific figures and ensuring that the comparisons between the two years are clearly articulated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. Phrases like 'in percentage method' and 'The British country' are awkward and disrupt the flow. While there is an attempt at logical progression, the transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the referencing (e.g., 'Their were various countries') is inaccurate. The overall arrangement is coherent enough to be understood, but the lack of sophisticated linking words and the presence of repetitive sentence structures limit the effectiveness of the writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. You rely on basic descriptors such as 'increased', 'decreased', and 'huge difference'. There are also instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'percentage method' instead of 'percentages' or 'proportions', and 'The British country' instead of 'The UK'. Some terms are used incorrectly, such as 'top-most trend'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'accounted for', 'surpassed', or 'remained stable', and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate for an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently make errors with articles ('The Germany', 'The UK'), subject-verb agreement ('The Germany creates', 'Their were various countries'), and word order. Some sentences are grammatically awkward, such as 'The UK was one of the top country who exports their goods in India'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles and pluralisation, will significantly improve the quality of your writing.
