Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. Furthermore, the content is underdeveloped and lacks a clear, accurate summary of the data provided in the charts. While there is an attempt to identify main features, the descriptions are vague and contain factual inaccuracies regarding the data (e.g., the mention of 'nearly a third' or 'exactly a half' is not supported by the visual information). The response lacks a clear overview and fails to make meaningful comparisons between the years or the countries involved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a logical structure. There is no clear paragraphing, and the sentences do not flow logically from one to the next. The use of cohesive devices is almost non-existent, making the text difficult to follow. The ideas are presented in a fragmented manner, and there is no clear progression of information. To improve, you should group related data points together and use linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'whereas') to connect your sentences and ideas effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'illustrade' instead of 'illustrate', 'aproximatelly' instead of 'approximately', and 'slight' used incorrectly as a noun. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe trends or data points accurately. You need to expand your range of descriptive language, specifically focusing on verbs and nouns used to describe statistical changes, such as 'increased', 'decreased', 'proportion', and 'fluctuated'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, sentence structure, and punctuation. For example, 'The pie chart illustrade that European countries export...' is grammatically incorrect. Many sentences are fragmented or lack the necessary structure to convey complex information. There is a lack of variety in sentence forms, and the errors are pervasive throughout the text. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a good starting point for improvement.
