Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the charts, but the analysis is somewhat inconsistent. While you identify key percentages for Germany, Belgium, and the UK, the reporting of 'other countries' is vague and lacks sufficient detail to fully satisfy the requirement to report main features. The comparison between 2000 and 2011 is present, but the overview is weak; it focuses more on 'geopolitical relations' rather than summarizing the significant trends in export data. To improve, ensure you provide a clear, data-driven overview that highlights the most significant changes or trends across the two years, rather than speculating on political motives.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow is often disrupted by awkward transitions and punctuation errors. Phrases like 'To commence with' and 'To conclude' are used, but they do not always logically connect the ideas presented. The use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or misused, such as 'Furtherly' (which is not a standard word) and the frequent misuse of full stops in the middle of sentences. The progression of ideas is occasionally difficult to follow because the relationship between the data points and the commentary is not clearly established.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is limited and contains several inaccuracies. You rely on basic verbs like 'dealt with', 'got', and 'contributed'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'embarks strong geopolitical relations' and 'remarks strong relations', which are not natural English expressions. The word 'expor6ted' contains a typo. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'accounted for', 'constituted', 'experienced a decline', or 'fluctuated', and ensure that your collocations are accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There is a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Punctuation is a major issue throughout the text, with frequent misuse of full stops, commas, and capitalization (e.g., 'In 2000 , India dealt...'). There are also grammatical errors such as 'a decline in United kingdom with 13%' (which lacks a verb) and 'countries for instance . Italy , Spain etc. expor6ted'. These errors occur frequently and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation to improve your score.
