Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, as it is only 128 words long and ends abruptly mid-sentence. While you have attempted to identify some main features, the analysis is incomplete. You have not provided a comprehensive overview of the data for both years and both destinations, and the lack of completion significantly impacts your ability to report the main features and make necessary comparisons. To improve, ensure you cover all parts of the prompt and provide a full summary of the trends observed in the charts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure due to its unfinished state. While you have used some cohesive devices like 'Overall' and 'Similarly', the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete final sentence. Paragraphing is not effectively utilized to separate the overview from the detailed body paragraphs. To improve, plan your response to ensure you have a clear introduction, a distinct overview, and well-organized body paragraphs that compare the data points logically. Ensure that each paragraph is fully developed before moving on to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is somewhat repetitive, relying heavily on phrases like 'export of material' and 'on the top'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'matetrial' and 'Ausria', and typographical errors like 'alsp'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to convey information with precision. To improve, try to use a wider variety of synonyms for 'export' and 'highest proportion', such as 'shipments', 'accounted for the largest share', or 'dominated the market'. Focus on accuracy in spelling and word choice to enhance clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with sentence structure, such as 'the United Kingdom was on the top in 2000 for the export of material', which is slightly awkward. You also have missing articles and punctuation errors, such as the lack of a space after 'Similarly'. The sentence 'In 2000 United Kingdom exported the matetrial was on the highest' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensure subject-verb agreement, and proofread for missing articles and punctuation marks.
