Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully covers all parts of the prompt by selecting and reporting the main features of the pie charts regarding EU exports to India and China in 2000 and 2011. You provide a clear overall trend in the introduction and present relevant data points, such as the UK and Germany leading exports to India, and Germany dominating the market in China. However, some parts are more fully developed than others, and certain details are slightly under-developed or imprecise. For example, your claim that the export rate for Netherlands and Spain grew 'both by 15%' for China is inaccurate according to the charts. Addressing all areas with complete data accuracy and fully extending comparisons would move this score higher.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The report displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical structure. You divide your response into an introduction with an overview, followed by separate body paragraphs dedicated to India and China. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the data sets. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. Phrases such as 'but scenario was changed' and 'in that phenomenon' are awkward and disrupt the smooth flow of information. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and relying more on smooth transitional phrases rather than repetitive connectors will help elevate the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to discuss percentages, trends, and countries successfully. You attempt less common vocabulary items such as 'contributor', 'distributor', and 'dominating', but these attempts are occasionally marred by inaccuracy or poor word choice and spelling, such as 'comparism', 'incline precentage', 'Suprisingly', 'Germay', 'sharpe increased', and 'falled'. These lexical errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict your lexical score. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate greater precision in word choice, correct word forms, and error-free spelling of common academic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the response, successfully using passive and active structures like 'was the largest exporter' and 'export rate had been grown'. However, there are some errors in grammar and sentence structure that surface repeatedly, such as 'Germany export percentage was increased', 'declining proportion toward those countries', and missing articles or prepositions (e.g., 'remained same'). Punctuation and subject-verb agreement also need tighter control. While these errors rarely impede communication, having a higher proportion of error-free complex sentences is necessary to reach the next band.
