Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify some important features, including the UK’s 29% share of exports to India in 2000 and Germany’s leading 38% share to China. However, the response only minimally covers the charts: the China discussion repeats India-related details, and the 2011 figures for China are not reported. Several statements are inaccurate or unclear: Austria was not the smallest share in both destinations across the years, and the repeated claim that Germany rose to 25% describes India, not China. You also refer to 2020 rather than 2011. A clearer overview and accurate comparisons across both destinations and years are needed to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an identifiable introduction, overview and body paragraphs, and it uses basic sequencing such as “Overall,” “In 2000” and “Meanwhile.” However, the information is not arranged coherently because the final paragraph largely repeats the India paragraph instead of presenting the 2011 China data. This repetition disrupts progression and makes the comparison difficult to follow. Some links between details are also unclear, particularly “to become largest exporters to India,” which does not explain how the figures relate to the main point. Organise the body by destination or year, and ensure each paragraph adds new, relevant information rather than repeating earlier material.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a basic range of chart vocabulary, including “distribution,” “largest figure,” “increased considerably” and “decreased,” so the main topic is generally recognisable. However, wording is repetitive, especially the repeated use of “recorded the largest figure” and “goods exported.” There are also noticeable word-choice and form errors, such as “exported good,” “Europeian nation,” and “amount” where a percentage or share is meant. “Others” is also imprecise when referring to the chart category “Other.” Use accurate terms such as “share,” “proportion” and “accounted for,” and check spelling and collocations to make the descriptions clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences, including comparisons introduced with “whereas” and “while,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “By 2020, goods exported from germany increased considerably to record the largest figure at, 25%” has an incorrect year, awkward clause construction and misplaced punctuation. In “Italy and others accounted 7% and 5%,” the verb pattern is incomplete; it should be “accounted for.” There are also agreement and article problems in “both country” and “to become largest exporters.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise accurate comparative sentence patterns and proofread verb forms, plurals, articles and sentence punctuation.
