Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most countries have common schools for boys and girls. Some people believe that both the genders should get educated from different schools as it will be beneficial for their education. I strongly disagree by this statement. According to me studying in a co-educational school provides them broader experience and also build confidence.
Mixed schools are made for a reason, so that everyone gender can be treated equally and learn to co-exist peacefully. It teaches to respect every gender. Students who study in mixed school are more flexible and confident in the future, and have better communication skiils. For instance, a student who studied his whole life in a boys school can face uncomfort, anxity and low confident when it comes to talking to stranger girls. Similar situation will occur for a girl who studied in a only girls school. Moreover, it will create a feeling of getting judged by the opposite gender.
Therefore, getting you education from a mixed school is very important. Students learn a lot when they are surrounded by different genders. No superiority, hate or discrimination over other genders will be created in their mind. Aditionally, risk of sexism will be minimal in this situation. Furthermore, students will be more confident while talking to other genders, they will not fumble during a conversation, which can be a possibility for a boy who studied from a boys school, vis versa.
To sum up all the information, it is very important for students to study in a mixed school so they can learn things like, respect and gratitude. It develops a mutual understanding between boys and girls which is very important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I strongly disagree” with educating students separately, and the conclusion reinforces the value of mixed schools. You address the question with relevant reasons, including confidence, communication and respect between genders, and the example of students feeling uncomfortable speaking to the opposite sex gives one point a practical illustration. This meets the task well overall. However, some claims—such as mixed schooling preventing “hate or discrimination” and minimising sexism—are asserted rather than explained, and the discussion focuses mainly on social benefits rather than showing how these affect education. To strengthen the response, develop fewer points with clearer reasoning or a specific example, and briefly acknowledge why some people favour single-sex schools before explaining why you disagree.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from confidence and communication to equality and mutual understanding, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Therefore” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the argument. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and several points repeat the same claim about confidence when speaking to the opposite sex. Some references are also unclear, particularly “this situation” and “vis versa,” which make the relationship between ideas less precise. Improve progression by giving each body paragraph a distinct focus, using pronouns only when their reference is clear, and connecting examples directly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-educational,” “discrimination,” “mutual understanding” and “communication,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as “feeling of getting judged.” However, the range is uneven and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “both the genders,” “face uncomfort,” “low confident” and “getting you education” do not sound natural. Spelling errors such as “skiils,” “anxity” and “Aditionally” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, use “both genders,” “feel uncomfortable,” and “receive your education” in these contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “so that,” “when” and “which.” This allows you to explain reasons and give examples, and the overall meaning is usually clear. However, some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make a sentence awkward. For example, “it will be beneficial for their education” has an unclear pronoun reference, “studying in a co-educational school provides them broader experience and also build confidence” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “a student who studied his whole life” uses an awkward tense pattern for a general example. There are also article and sentence-construction problems in “a only girls school” and “learn things like, respect.” Review agreement, articles and punctuation, and edit longer sentences to ensure each clause is complete and clearly connected.
