Student answer (Band 5.5)
Education should be given to every gender, because a society is run by all the genders.Co-education is considered wrong by some people, while others thinks that education should be given separatly.
One of the main reasons people oppose co-education is because of society pressure, both gender are not mature to enough to keep their relationship healthy and workeholic and indefinitly religion also plays a major role in some part of the world. However, mixed schools help the student to be more groomed and confident.Student can learn more about the opposite genders.which will help the students in practical life.
I disagree, that both girls and boys should be given a separate schooling.Because both the genders will never learn about each other.Students will never learn how to communicate with opposite gender.Infact in future they both will face extremely difficulties as i did.I was in boarding school which means that there were only males. So when i completed my school and went to higher education the system was mixed it took me a whole 2 years to adjust with the envirnoment. Moreover, i was feeling less confident and less interactive with my other classmates.they had a big impact on my social context.
In the end, education is necessary for bothbthe genders, and i will prefer co-education over single gender schooling system due to thousands of other reasons but the major one are student social life,his/her confidence and courage.single gender schooling has more negative impact on student than co-education.My Single gender education system life was usless for me and it took more efforts and time to take myself out of that zone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you disagree with educating girls and boys separately and prefer co-education. You address both sides by mentioning concerns about maturity, social pressure and religion, then explain how mixed schooling can build confidence and communication skills. Your personal example of struggling to adjust after an all-male boarding school is relevant and gives your argument a concrete basis. This meets the task well, though some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that students are “not mature enough” is not clarified, and the reference to religion remains general. To strengthen the response further, develop these points with a specific explanation or example and connect each one more directly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting concerns and benefits, a paragraph explaining your disagreement, and a conclusion. The personal experience also gives the main argument a logical progression. However, some connections are abrupt or unclear. The second paragraph moves from reasons against co-education to its benefits without clearly signalling the contrast, while “I disagree, that…” and “In the end” do not create especially smooth links. Referencing is sometimes imprecise, as in “they both” and “the major one,” where the reader must infer the intended meaning. Use clearer topic sentences and a wider range of accurate linking expressions, and make sure each paragraph develops one main function.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-education,” “single-sex schools,” “confident,” “communicate,” and “social life.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, or collocation problems make parts less natural, such as “society pressure,” “workeholic,” “groomed,” “social context,” and “single gender schooling system.” Some key terms are also repeated, particularly “gender,” “students,” and “education.” Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe social pressure more naturally and use precise terms for students’ social adjustment. This would make your argument clearer and more fluent without changing its ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a longer sentence describing your transition from boarding school to higher education. The main message is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and clause construction occur often enough to affect ease of reading. Examples include “others thinks,” “both gender are,” “I disagree, that,” and the fragment “Because both the genders will never learn about each other.” Several sentences also join independent ideas with commas, as in “I was feeling less confident and less interactive with my other classmates.they had…”. Practise forming complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement, and using full stops or conjunctions to connect clauses accurately.
