Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both co-educational and single-sex schooling, though the position is somewhat contradictory as you state you agree with both options. The ideas are relevant but remain largely underdeveloped and rely on generalizations, such as the claim that boys are more intelligent than girls. To improve, you should focus on providing more balanced, objective arguments and ensuring your position is clearly defined and consistently maintained throughout the essay. The structure lacks a formal introduction and conclusion, which limits the depth of your analysis.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks clear paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your ideas. While there is a basic attempt to organize thoughts, the lack of transition words and logical connectors between sentences makes the flow feel mechanical and disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits and drawbacks of co-education is abrupt. To achieve a higher score, you should group your ideas into distinct paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and use a wider variety of cohesive devices like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'on the other hand' to link your points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'single life sex schools' and 'hash words' (likely meaning 'harsh words'). Additionally, there are frequent spelling errors like 'slove' and 'oppoite'. To improve, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and focus on correct collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms for common words like 'good', 'bad', and 'think' will help you express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the student may be enhance'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structure. The use of complex sentences is limited and often contains errors, such as 'through co educational if our fellow is intelligent we get a lot of the knowledge'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and the proper use of articles. Proofreading for punctuation and capitalization errors, which are frequent throughout the text, is also essential.
