Student answer (Band 7.0)
Nowadays, most of the countries advocate the co-education of boys and girls while there is a common perception that it is more beneficial if both the boys and girls are taught in separate educational institutes. In spite of cultural hurdles in some countries, I agree to large extent with co-education system and I shall provide my reasoning along with examples and conclusion.
Due to gigantic advancements in developed countries where co-education is a norm, I have an understanding that co-education is the best approach which can enable students from different backgrounds to study and later work towards higher positions. Most countries don't have enough financial resources to construct separate schools for males and females. For instance, in Pakistan, the government is facing a massive economical crisis. Therefore, It is a dire requirement of co-education in Pakistan.
Moreover, in developing countries like Pakistan and India, girls lack the confidence which is essential to succeed in both professional and personal life. If co-education is fully implemented in poorer countries, it will elevate the confidence of not only girls but also the boys. Other than that, a large proportion of girls will be educated in the foreseen future, resulting in more job opportunities throughout the country. When a country has an equal workforce in the form of both genders, it leads to massive economic growth in a few decades. For instance, Japan and China has enabled both man and women to compete equally in their professional lives. Hence, they are leading the world in different sectors like technology, healthcare and sports.
However, due to cultural differences in some societies, it's always recommended to convince old-school population who wrongly defend the concept of single-sex schools. By providing the necessary guidance, it can be ensured that there will be no conflicts among different classes in the cities.
It can be concluded that, there are massive advantages of co-education ranging from huge economical activity, increased proportion of confidence among students, large percentage of educated population and a gigantic workforce. The followers of co-education should also consider the cultural values of a society to some extent.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant arguments regarding economic efficiency and social development. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the argument about 'cultural hurdles' is introduced but not fully explored, and the suggestion to 'convince old-school population' is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully extended with more specific analysis rather than relying on general statements. The conclusion effectively summarizes your main points, maintaining a consistent stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'For instance', and 'Hence' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The paragraphing is generally appropriate, though the fourth paragraph is quite short and could have been integrated better into the overall flow. Referencing is mostly clear, but ensure that pronouns and linking phrases connect sentences more fluidly to improve the overall progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'co-educational', 'economical crisis', and 'workforce'. There are some instances of slightly unnatural word choices, such as 'gigantic advancements' or 'proportion of confidence', which sound a bit awkward. While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the precision is occasionally lacking. To improve, focus on collocations—words that naturally go together—and avoid overusing intensifiers like 'massive' or 'huge', which can make the writing feel less academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'It is a dire requirement of co-education' (which is awkward phrasing) and 'Japan and China has enabled' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are occasional slips, such as the comma usage in the conclusion. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and refining your sentence structures to ensure they are consistently accurate.
