Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 112 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you state a clear position in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped and lack supporting evidence or examples. The essay is incomplete, as the final paragraph is cut off mid-sentence. To improve, you must expand on your main points with specific examples and ensure the essay is fully developed to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay attempts to use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore'. However, the logical progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the final paragraph is unfinished, which disrupts the overall structure. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on completing your thoughts and using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. There are several spelling errors, such as 'togeather' instead of 'together' and 'shools' instead of 'schools'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on simple phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to the topic of education and ensure you proofread your work to correct basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Some individuals belived that the should teach') and incorrect verb forms ('if boys and girls educated'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and the lack of completion in the final sentence makes it difficult to assess your control over complex structures. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and verb tense consistency before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
