Student answer (Band 6.0)

AS per my point of view i would surely go for a co-education system, Generally we can see that their will be massive argument on boys vs girls their will be a maximum computation between these two in ranking, sports, extra curricular activities their will be a computation between both and their will be no much activities if their is only single-sex school its would be boring and unhappy schooling that may also upset the students if their is not computation and equality. If the students went for any type of computation and many more if their opponent are girls/boys then they will start the game with a excitement and high level of energy that also encourage the audience for the best game to watch.

Also i don't even disagree with the people who like single-sex school, as per my perspective they might not be wrong for the reason that they might be distracted and also loss a focus on academics that is one of the most important unit in our day to day life which we all go through that phase as the distraction will be most common in that age so they are controlling that for their own settled future and if their is any type of miss behaving may be going on and by these also they might prefer single-sex schooling.

As per my opinion i support the people who opted co-education as we can not only study we have to get a extra curricular activities sports and group learning and project we need all to join and get a better and good score.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both co-educational and single-sex systems. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding 'competition' and 'distraction' are repetitive and lack depth or specific examples. The position is clear, but the supporting points are somewhat superficial and rely on generalizations. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more concrete reasoning or real-world examples, ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-developed argument rather than repeating the same concepts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into three paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'if their is'). Transitions between sentences are often abrupt, making the progression of ideas feel mechanical. While there is a basic structure, the logical connection between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds clearly upon the previous one. Paragraphing is present but could be more effectively used to separate distinct arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive, with frequent misuse of basic terms. For example, the word 'computation' is used incorrectly throughout the text when 'competition' was intended. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'massive argument' and 'unit in our day to day life'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic message, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. Improving your control over collocations and using more academic synonyms would significantly enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There is a persistent confusion between 'there' and 'their', as well as errors in subject-verb agreement and sentence structure (e.g., 'if their is not computation'). The range of sentence structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly connected complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences that lack proper clause separation. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of pronouns.
