Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 182 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped and fragmented. The essay ends abruptly mid-sentence, meaning the task is not fully addressed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a complete, balanced argument with sufficient supporting evidence for each point. You need to expand your reasoning beyond simple statements to fully explore the complexities of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using phrases like 'On one hand' and 'While on opposite side' to signal transitions. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the abrupt ending disrupts the flow of the argument. Cohesive devices are used in a somewhat mechanical way, and the lack of completion makes it difficult to assess the overall coherence of the piece. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-linked supporting details.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several spelling errors, such as 'countires', 'opnion', 'seperately', 'insitutes', and 'citiezens'. You rely on basic vocabulary like 'good', 'bad', and 'perks'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of academic vocabulary and ensure accurate spelling. Focus on learning collocations related to education and social issues, and try to avoid informal phrasing like 'put a light on' or 'bad people'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'A few individuals thought' (tense inconsistency), 'both genders are teached' (incorrect passive voice), and 'the main reason of crime against girl that we have opposed lot of strict rules' (unclear syntax). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Practice writing error-free simple sentences before attempting more complex structures.
