Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many parts of the worlds both boys and girls are educated together in co-educational or in mixed schools. Some think that girls and boys will get benefit from being educated in separate schools. I agree that mixed schools give more benefit as after the school people have to deal with both girls and boys.
On one hand, the people in mixed are more familiar with one another. They know how to deal with one another in office and in life after school. The mixed schools gives benefit to them they know hoe to deal with one another. The mixed also teaches them unity and leadership skills. The people who are not having brother and sister can be made in the mixed schools. It is a good thing to educate the student in mixed schools.
On other hand, the people think that girls and boys in separate schools get benefit. As there focused to their work. There are only single sex students so they do only study and prepare for exam. But they became introvert in future as they don't know how to deal with another boys and girls in future. The boys are also shy to talk with girls as they don't have any experience they feel shy.
In my opinion, the mixed schools give them how to deal with people in future. They can be confident to talk with other people in future.
It helps a lot as we learn most of the things from school life we can applicable that in future life.
In conclusion, the mixed schools gives more benefit to students and how to deal in future life. The separate school gives more focus on academic and other things in separate school. It is on the choice of student where he have to take the admission.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing in favor of co-educational schools. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social benefits like 'unity and leadership skills,' these points are not fully extended or supported with concrete examples. The counter-argument regarding single-sex schools is acknowledged but remains superficial. To improve, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations or specific scenarios to support your claims, ensuring that each paragraph contributes more depth to your overall argument rather than repeating similar points about 'dealing with people in the future.'
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On one hand,' 'On other hand,' and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in your argument. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive, and the flow between sentences can feel mechanical. For example, the phrase 'how to deal with one another' is repeated multiple times, which hinders the natural flow of the text. Improving the variety of linking words and using more sophisticated referencing would help achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'get benefit,' 'deal with,' and 'good thing.' There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'the people who are not having brother and sister can be made in the mixed schools,' which is unclear. To improve, you should incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to education and social development to demonstrate a wider range of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The mixed schools gives benefit'), article usage (e.g., 'in the mixed'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'As there focused to their work'). While the meaning is generally understandable, these errors are persistent throughout the text. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on consistent subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and refining your sentence construction to ensure greater accuracy.
