Student answer (Band 5.0)

CO- Education is always debatable topic, has now becom controversal while many people believe in co- education .But some argue separete education for girls and boys like boys school and girl school is good. This essay will discuss both the discussion before explaing why i believe in co- education is best.

On One hand, people think that co- education cause many problems like maintaing boyfriends and girlfriends, concentration more on opposite genders rather than studies, duel dance practises for annual days celebrations which give more time for interations, going on trips in coloured dresses which is arranged by schools, combine studies at friend houses which leads unwanted pregnancy in teenages and all these leads to collapse to co-education system .

On other hand single-sex schools leads to feminism and lack of interaction with opposite gender might lead to curiousity about sexual aspects of lives.which inturn leads to unwanted frienships from social media.,might develop social anxiety and it might lead to ignorance of opposite gender and individual might end up feeling uncomfortable during interactions in their latest stage of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 177 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack the necessary depth and supporting examples required for an academic essay. While a position is stated, the under-length nature of the response means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow is hindered by the lack of sufficient content. Cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'On one hand', 'On other hand'), but they are often used mechanically. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall structure feel incomplete. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-developed supporting points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with several spelling errors such as 'controversal' instead of 'controversial', 'separete' instead of 'separate', and 'interations' instead of 'interactions'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. You rely on basic phrasing, which limits your ability to convey nuanced arguments. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a broader range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and punctuation. For example, 'co- education is always debatable topic' lacks an article, and 'all these leads to collapse to co-education system' contains awkward phrasing and incorrect prepositions. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
