Student answer (Band 5.5)
Boys and girls are educated together in parts of the world. It is believed by many that boy and girl should study separately and they will be benefitted from this sort of institutions. I personally believe that boy and girl should in different schools as it will help them in building a better future.
To begin with, when girls will study in single sex educational institute, it will boost them confidence. If any girls compete with other girls, they will want to do better result. Competition will be stronger because single sex education institute has more competitors because each wants to prove their worth. They will always try to prove their intellectual capabilities and creativity at the same time. It has been seen that uni sex educational places have more achievements than mixed schools.
The main drawback of mixed schools are children involved in emotional relations with opposite gender. It eventually hampers both boy and girl career. At the early age, they do not realize the drawback as emotional sides are essential for younger people. On the one hand, some pupils of mixed schools are mischievous as a result, they hamper others study. Moreover, adult boy and girl can indulge into drug addiction due to peer pressure. As boys have tendency towards drug so they can force their female mates for doing the same activity. For this reason, mixed schools are heinous for the career for younger and teen people.
To sum up, I believe single sex schools are better for shaping future and creativity for younger people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on generalizations. For instance, the claim that 'uni sex educational places have more achievements' is an assertion that lacks specific supporting evidence or examples. The argument regarding emotional relationships and drug addiction in mixed schools is a bit extreme and lacks nuance, which affects the depth of the response. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples or logical explanations for your claims rather than relying on broad statements about student behavior.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'To sum up' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'As boys have tendency towards drug so they can force their female mates', where the connection between the two clauses is slightly awkward. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You use basic terms like 'better', 'good', and 'bad' (implied by 'heinous'). There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'uni sex' (should be 'single-sex') and 'hamper others study' (should be 'hamper others' studies'). To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and less common vocabulary related to the topic of education, such as 'academic performance', 'social development', or 'distractions'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('boy and girl should in different schools'), article usage ('the' missing before 'confidence'), and pluralization ('each wants to prove their worth' vs 'each student'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
