Student answer (Band 5.5)
We live in the age where education is mainly given to children by schools and schools plays a vital role in everyone life.In many parts of the world it is still in debate that girls and boys should be in co-educational/mixed schools or single -sex schools .Few individuals believes that girls and boys are benefit from being educated separately . From my perspective, I take stand with those who believes that children should educated together in co- educational schools.
Firstly , by obtaining education in mixed schools can boost self confident of communicating with opposite gender . Namely , one student acquire his education have more confident in talking with opposite sex due being in communication with that sex from school or by having regular conversation with that sex
Furthermore , improvement in social skills can also be seen by educating in co-educational schools and also individuals can have exposure to different genders way of living .Problem solving skills can also be enhance by this schooling. To illustrate , one boy can help a girl who is in problem because of being expose to such problem before.
Nevertheless , there few benefits of studying in separately in single - sex schools. One of them is not being distracted in unnecessary field during the period of life when studying is the most crucial factor .To justify this we can say that unnecessary relationship will be avoided and one can able to concentrate more on getting educated.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits of mixed schools, such as social skills and communication, the explanations are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the example regarding 'one boy helping a girl' is simplistic. The counter-argument regarding single-sex schools is acknowledged but remains underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, you should provide more substantial examples and explore the implications of your arguments more thoroughly to ensure the response is fully developed rather than just listing points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'Nevertheless', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the sentence 'Namely, one student acquire his education have more confident...' is difficult to follow due to poor internal cohesion. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences connect more naturally would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'benefit', and 'problem', and there are several instances of incorrect word forms, such as 'self confident' instead of 'self-confidence' and 'can be enhance' instead of 'can be enhanced'. There is also some repetition of phrases like 'opposite sex' and 'single-sex schools'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and synonyms to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('schools plays', 'individuals believes'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('one student acquire', 'one can able to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several missing or misplaced spaces around commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
