Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is undeniable that education plays significant role in everyone's life. To regards with, some individuals think that co-education is very useful but other think the students can get more benefit from single sex school. I disagree with this notion due to many reason which will discuss in forthcoming paragraph with logical conclusion.

To commence with, the co-education has various benefits . Firstly, it enhance confidence among students . To explain more, at the time of oral test , students feel shame from opposite sex but with time they can enhance the confidence. They can discuss the topics together which further help them at the time of their job. If they donot feel comfortable from school time may it difficult for them in the future. Secondly, co-education increases the equality among boys and girls. At the time of sports compition, both can take part in same game. This not only increase equality but also change the thoughts of people about girls. For example, according to a data of newsapaper girls shows same intrest in cricket as boys . It helps them to get good position in indian teams .

Nonetheless, there are several negative effects of co-education as sometimes it may distract students from study. The beggining of adult age change many harmones in the boys or girls. This leads to the attraction among both. The early age impact sometimes distract them from study. For intance, according to a author , the love attraction of adult is double than the more than twenties.

To conclude, although coeducation has various benefits as rise in confidence and equality , yet the distraction from study can be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against single-sex education. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons such as confidence-building and equality, the explanations are occasionally vague, such as the reference to 'data of newspaper' or the 'author' without specific context. The conclusion is also slightly contradictory, as you state that 'distraction from study can be neglected' when you likely meant it 'cannot be ignored' or 'should not be overlooked'. To improve, ensure that your supporting arguments are more fully extended and that your vocabulary accurately reflects your intended meaning to avoid logical confusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Nonetheless', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion. For instance, the phrase 'To regards with' is an incorrect transition, and the connection between sentences in the second paragraph is occasionally disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the relationship between your ideas is explicitly clear throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher score. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'change', and 'help'. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice or awkward phrasing, such as 'feel shame from opposite sex' (likely meaning 'feel shy around') and 'love attraction of adult'. Spelling errors like 'compition', 'newsapaper', and 'intrest' also occur. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more sophisticated academic vocabulary, and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes that distract the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical errors are frequent. There are consistent issues with articles ('the co-education', 'the indian teams'), subject-verb agreement ('girls shows'), and prepositional usage ('at the time of'). Some sentences are also structurally incomplete or awkward, such as 'If they donot feel comfortable from school time may it difficult for them'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall flow. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures.
