Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, co-education has become a hot topic people like to debate on this topic. While on the other hand some people think separate education is better. In this essay I will give reasons to prove why I agree with separate education.
First of all, co-education has some benefits like it helps build confidence in the students as they have to speak in front of opposite sex which is not possible in single sex school.
Despite this benefit I believe single sex schools are better as boys are more open towards male teachers and they can ask more questions without hesitating. Students feel more comfortable with same sex class mates than with opposite sex classmates.
Now the society has been changing rapidly people are getting worried about their children's safety due to huge increase in adultery. In many rural areas women are not allowed to get higher due to co-education in universities. That's why there should be more single sex schools.
In single sex institutes students often form a strong bond with their teachers and the teachers understand each student's nature. If they understands each students psychology and know them personally they can teach their students in a easy way. This thing not only improves their bond but also improves educational system deeply from it's roots. Students are more obedient to such teachers rather than those who just ignored them or could not take interest in them due to more students. As single sex schools divide number of students in half which makes teaching easier for teachers.
After this deep analysis I have come to a conclusion that single sex schools overweigh the benefits of co-educational schools.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention safety and teacher-student bonds, the arguments are not fully extended with specific examples or logical depth. For instance, the mention of 'adultery' appears to be a misuse of vocabulary and does not logically support the argument for single-sex education. To improve, focus on providing more detailed explanations for your claims rather than listing several points briefly. The conclusion is present but lacks a summary of the main arguments, which would have strengthened the overall task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive. Transitions between ideas, such as 'Despite this benefit' and 'Now the society', are functional but could be more sophisticated to improve the flow. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are instances of inappropriate word choice, such as 'adultery' when you likely meant 'harassment' or 'safety concerns'. Additionally, phrases like 'in a easy way' and 'overweigh the benefits' are slightly unnatural. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more academic vocabulary. Avoid repeating simple words and try to incorporate more precise terminology related to education and social issues to demonstrate a wider range of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('If they understands') and punctuation errors. Some sentences are run-on or lack proper structure, such as 'This thing not only improves their bond but also improves educational system deeply from it's roots.' While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic errors like articles, verb forms, and possessive apostrophes.
