Student answer (Band 5.5)

While some advocate that single-sex educational institution can help students for better academic results, I completely disagree with this assertion because seperating boys and girls in different schools fosters social isolation, discourages students' from continous skill adaptation, and causes infrastructural strains.

First and foremost, there are several reasons why I hold this view. One possible reason is that the co-education environments encourage to learn diversified knowldges. In this tech-driven modern world, contineous skill adaptation plays a significant role to make anyone competitive in any sector. Single-sex schools heavily promote conservative ideas. As a result these students find it hard to comminucate with others, which ultimately cause a detrimental impact on there carrier. Modern employers find a good communication skill, but the students come from the single-sex schools background often failed in this important section. For example, female students who come from the signle-sex school environments sometimes hesitate for collaborative works, which frequently causes early corporate burnout for them.

Furthermore, building two seperate schools for boys and girls puts an immense economic pressure to the national government. Educational authorities can use this funds for other important infrastrutural developemnts, such as expanding lab facilities, improving classroom environments, and many mores. Consequently, single-sex schools cause a massive infrastructural strains for a nation, although it can be done in useing half of the money. For instance, these days, in some shools in Arab countries, they are using their money for robotics instead of building seperate classrooms for each gender.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that promoting co-educational environment is a viable way to develop individuals' mentality, and it can save massive amount of money from wasting.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have clearly stated your position against single-sex education and maintained it throughout the essay. You address the prompt by providing reasons related to social development and economic efficiency. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that single-sex schools promote 'conservative ideas' is asserted but not fully explained or supported with concrete evidence. Similarly, the example regarding Arab countries is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully expanded with more detailed reasoning or specific, well-explained examples that directly link back to the core argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'which ultimately cause a detrimental impact on there carrier'. The transition between the social argument and the economic argument is functional, but the overall structure would benefit from more sophisticated linking words to improve the flow of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting to use topic-specific terms like 'infrastructural strains' and 'collaborative works'. However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'seperating', 'continous', 'knowldges', 'comminucate', 'carrier', 'shools') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'encourage to learn diversified knowldges'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the meaning from being understood. To improve, focus on accuracy in spelling and ensure that words are used in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the students come from... often failed'), incorrect preposition usage ('use this funds'), and errors with articles and pluralization ('a massive infrastructural strains'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. To progress, work on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb tenses and noun-number agreement, and try to incorporate more varied complex sentence structures with greater precision.
