Student answer (Band 6.0)
Multiple countries have the rule of co-education while citizens of some countries support the idea of educating both the genders apart from each other having different schools. Both views are arguable. I coincide for the first statement.
Co-education allows children to communicate with each other respectfully. They are taught how to regard boundaries of one another. In later life , both the genders have to talk to each other specially in the work life. So , if interaction from young age is present, it will be a norm for them. They will not hesitate while doing their work responsibilities. Co-education is very necessary for adulthood as well. In many surveys, children who were in co-education are proven to be supportive partners whether its their personal life or any business partnership. Studying together can also be very beneficial for knowing different point of views. They exchange their thoughts and have fruitful conversations on a certain topic. For instance, if a teacher raises a question about the mental health in a classroom. Both girls and boys give their perspectives and debate by maintain respect. In this way they can learn about the mental health problems from both the genders and if they lack information about these issues, teacher can correct them also. This can allow them to have an exchange of thoughts comprehensively.
Some people also believe the idea of separate schools. They suggest that both the genders will be more comfortable with their own sex. They consider it as a part of human nature that comfort level comes only with the same gender and not having a different sex around. In some countries, culture also plays an important role. It is not considered appropriate from cultural perspective. For example, country like Afghanistan, where extremists are ruling nowadays, it has very strict policy against co-education. They use religion as a weapon in this case which is so wrong.
In conclusion, schools are learning hubs for children . If we allow them to be in mixed schools , they surely learn about maintaining healthy boundaries, understanding both genders' problems and have better communication skills. On the other hand, single-sex school system is likely to cause problems in future lives of children.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant arguments for co-education, such as the development of communication skills and the ability to exchange diverse perspectives. The counter-argument regarding single-sex schools is also acknowledged and addressed. However, the development of ideas could be more sophisticated. For instance, the example regarding Afghanistan is a bit tangential and could be better linked to the broader cultural argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more deeply integrated into the main argument rather than being presented as isolated points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two sides of the argument. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'On the other hand' and 'For instance', to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'In this way' or 'So'. The flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this', 'these') is always precise to avoid ambiguity.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'co-education', 'fruitful conversations', and 'extremists'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'I coincide for the first statement' (which should be 'I agree with the former view') and 'regard boundaries' (which should be 'respect boundaries'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Attempting to use more idiomatic collocations and academic phrasing would enhance the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, 'both the genders' is often used where 'both genders' is more natural, and there are issues with article usage and sentence fragments, such as 'In later life , both the genders have to talk to each other specially in the work life.' Punctuation around commas is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and refining the use of articles and prepositions to ensure your complex sentences are error-free.
