Student answer (Band 5.0)

Different sex of the gender studying in a single educational institution is much more beneficial which provides superior preparation for real world dynamics. I partly disagree with the view that educating both of the opposite gender is advantageous, though single school can serve more better.

on the one hand, students with the same schools can make them really engaged with both kinds of people. There are to be many kinds of students in the matter what they really like in people like some one gets easily friendly with boys some with girls.IT helps them to be friend with boys too. For instance, we can see a lot of celebrity bonded with good friendship with boys which started from the primary school. therefore, it really matters what institution are you going to shape your career.

on the another hand, being on a single sex schools keeps the person to be introvert. while the person cannot talk or they hesitated to talk to other sex outside the school which can lead to their detrimental effects on them. For instance we can see a lot of people going to single sex colleges often are very shy and hesitates to talk compared to other student also it will very difficult if they be in of danger. Hence, this leads to negative impacts for career focus or wealth being.

To sum up, it is more important to move schools with a different genders because we can get engaged to various people and do not feel awkard to talk to anyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt, but the position is inconsistent and confusing. The introduction states that single-sex education is 'much more beneficial,' yet the thesis statement claims to 'partly disagree' with the idea that mixed schools are advantageous, which contradicts the opening sentence. The arguments are underdeveloped; for example, the mention of 'celebrity' friendships is anecdotal and lacks logical depth. The second paragraph attempts to discuss the downsides of single-sex schools, but the reasoning is repetitive and lacks clear, academic support. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and maintained throughout, and provide more substantial, logical explanations for your points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. While some cohesive devices like 'on the one hand' and 'to sum up' are used, they are often followed by sentences that do not logically follow the previous thought. For instance, the transition from discussing celebrity friendships to career shaping is abrupt and lacks a logical link. Referencing is also problematic, as the use of pronouns like 'they' and 'them' is often ambiguous, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Improving the logical progression between sentences is essential.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise, which hinders the clarity of the argument. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'Different sex of the gender' (which is redundant and unnatural) and 'wealth being' (likely a misuse of 'well-being'). The phrase 'serve more better' is grammatically incorrect and stylistically poor. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively, relying on basic, repetitive terms. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that collocations are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'students with the same schools can make them really engaged,' and incorrect sentence structures, such as 'what institution are you going to shape your career.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and misused commas. The range of sentence structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly constructed complex sentences. A significant focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for grammatical accuracy is required to improve this score.
