Student answer (Band 4.0)

It is often believed by many that in many parts of the world girls and boys are educated together in co-educational or mixed schools. Some people think that girls and boys benefit from being educated separately in single sex schools. In my opinion, I agree with this statement because I think boys and grils benefit educated together.

To begin with, one of the main resons of supporting this view is that, I think in school better provide co-educationa should doing boys and grils this is because quality educated is very essential. For instance, i think teacher should doing gain knowledge boys and grils. As a result beneficial and in class boys and grils must be discuss for educated. Therefore it is the evident i believe that in school better provide equality education should doing for boys and grils.

Moreover, another significant point to consider is that one of the main resons of technological innovation. I think it is many school are not provide learn things a mean gain knowledge. Boys and grils. I see many school but this wrong decision. In other words i think should be allowed communicate with people in school boys and grils. A good example, in my opinion, in school not provide the section class such as A,B,C class this is wrong decision. Hence I agree with this statement because boys and grils together the study benefit for quality education.

In conclusion although both perspectives have their own merits I firmly believe that the responsibility of government support communities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt but fails to maintain a clear or consistent position. While you state you agree with the statement, your subsequent reasoning is contradictory and confusing. The ideas are largely underdeveloped and lack logical support. For example, phrases like 'teacher should doing gain knowledge' do not clearly explain why co-education is beneficial. The arguments regarding technological innovation and school sections (A, B, C) are irrelevant and do not directly answer the question about the benefits of single-sex versus co-educational schooling. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on one clear reason that directly supports your thesis, and provide concrete examples that are relevant to the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a logical progression of ideas. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the internal structure of these paragraphs is disjointed. Cohesive devices are used incorrectly or in a repetitive, mechanical way, such as the frequent use of 'I think' and 'one of the main resons'. Referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. For instance, the transition between the discussion of teachers and the mention of 'technological innovation' is abrupt and lacks a logical link. To improve, focus on using transition words like 'furthermore' or 'consequently' to connect ideas, and ensure each sentence builds upon the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There is significant repetition of basic words like 'school', 'boys', 'grils' (spelled incorrectly), and 'knowledge'. Many phrases are non-idiomatic or grammatically incorrect, such as 'quality educated is very essential' and 'this wrong decision'. You struggle to use vocabulary appropriate for an academic essay. To improve, focus on learning common collocations related to education, such as 'academic performance', 'social development', or 'gender-segregated environments', and practice using them in full, grammatically correct sentences rather than isolated fragments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that make the text difficult to understand. There is a lack of control over basic sentence structures, with many sentences being fragments or run-on sentences, such as 'I think teacher should doing gain knowledge boys and grils.' Subject-verb agreement is often ignored, and there is a consistent misuse of verb forms (e.g., 'should doing' instead of 'should do'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, which further disrupts the flow. To improve, focus on mastering simple sentence structures first—Subject + Verb + Object—before attempting more complex sentences. Pay close attention to verb tenses and ensure that every sentence has a clear subject and a correctly conjugated verb.
