Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear preference for co-education. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention benefits like confidence and social skills, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The prompt asks for an evaluation of both sides, but the discussion of single-sex education is almost entirely absent, which is a significant omission. To improve, ensure you provide a more balanced analysis by acknowledging the potential benefits of single-sex schools before refuting them or explaining why co-education is superior. The ideas provided are relevant but remain at a surface level, preventing a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'including to this' or 'in education system of the modern way'. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, making the transition between sentences feel disjointed. While there is a clear attempt to use linking words like 'Initially' and 'Secondly', the internal logic within paragraphs is weak. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking phrases and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You frequently use phrases like 'education system' and 'combined education system' throughout the text, which limits your lexical range. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'educated combined way' instead of 'co-educational setting' and 'co-circullar' (spelling error). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition. Focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than translating directly from your native language, as this often leads to unnatural phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Some of the individual have believe' (subject-verb agreement and tense error) and 'All boys and girls are teaching' (passive voice error; should be 'are taught'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and the proper application of passive voice.
