Student answer (Band 5.0)

Girls and boys were should been educated on same way. Some family prefer together and separately.

If girls and boys are educated together in co-educational or mixed schools that students will be having open minded. Everyone will understand about each other and solve every problem together. It will also help in future on working place or in home because everywhere girls/women works. All should have information about everything so that any girl should not fell any uncomfortable anywhere. As an example, any classmate or bench partner are suffering from periods it may help or know about everything because if mixed education were there then only every male and female were knowing.

Secondly, some prefer girls and boys were being educated separately in single sex school it helps to do not distract female and male because at age of puberty it's normal. In positive way it also feel so competitive of same sex and no distraction. For example, if a boy is study in single sex school then he will not know about periods and it could show affect to his wife and sourrended female.

In conclusion, I genuinely prefer together or mixed education system. It helps to know about each other. In future also it helps to feel safe of sourrended girl or a women.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you have addressed the prompt by stating a preference for co-education, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the point about 'periods' is mentioned but not clearly linked to the broader educational benefits in a formal or academic manner. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and examples, ensuring you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between ideas are frequently missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift between the benefits of co-education and the counter-argument regarding single-sex schools. The use of referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Using a wider variety of linking words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'on the other hand' would help improve the overall structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms that do not fully capture the nuance required for an academic essay. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'fell any uncomfortable' instead of 'feel uncomfortable' and 'sourrended female' instead of 'surrounding females'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and social development, and practice using these words in context to ensure they are used accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'girls and boys were should been educated'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack the necessary complexity expected at higher levels. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs are conjugated correctly and that articles and prepositions are used appropriately. Practicing the construction of complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions would also help improve your range.
