Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries in the global girls and boys are educated in same school and some people argue that separate school in more good from well education.

Overall, to gather in co education or combined school system is better or the alone the girls and boys . in my point of view co education is better then separate education.

Firstly, co education makes both boys and girls confident in there life. when they will study with each other at ahead of life they will do jobs any where and there self confidence will rise. In many religious countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran they not allow the co education system in there countries. this is reason that these countries are back word from the world.

Secondly, when they educated separately they feel shy and can not attend individual meeting and may not take good position in a job in company.

There are some reason as well that girls and boys can not study combined. in addition religious countries are not allow by there religion or a tradition. a big problem is that some countries are not allowing girls to study school college or university. for instance, Afghanistan is not allowing girls to study only they can get education of religion in there homes. there is no chance that they can give permission to co education in there country. i filly disagree with this statement of separately educate of girls and boys. because in modern world co education is most important to compete with nations.

In result co education or sperate education both are important with out any education as example of Afghanistan. but mostly i wish co education is more good advantage then separate education of boys and girls.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of co-education. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention confidence and career prospects, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The discussion regarding religious countries is somewhat tangential and does not fully explore the educational benefits or drawbacks of single-sex versus mixed schooling as requested. To improve, you should focus on providing more specific, well-reasoned arguments for why co-education is beneficial, perhaps by discussing social development or academic competition, rather than focusing heavily on political or religious contexts which distract from the core educational debate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by unclear transitions and repetitive phrasing. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', the connections between sentences are often weak or confusing, such as in the final paragraph where the summary is contradictory. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'better', and 'study'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'back word from the world' (backward) and 'sperate education'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should work on learning topic-specific collocations related to education and society, and try to avoid repeating the same simple adjectives throughout your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'countries are not allow'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty or contain punctuation errors. For example, 'in my point of view co education is better then separate education' contains a spelling error ('then' instead of 'than') and lacks proper capitalization. You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement and word order.
