Student answer (Band 5.5)
Various parts of the globle have a trends of education male and female students togetherly whereas some educating them separately. Some people think educating students separately is the best approach. Whereas, in my opinion it is best to educate them in co-educational setting because it will encourage both gender to study togetherly and increase resepect among genders.
First and foremost, studying in a mixed school, enforce both male and female students to study in a single roof. This will help both gender to understand each other natural behaviour and helps them to cope up with their curiosity towards opposite sex, which they may grow with their age. For example, "A recent study found that, male employee who used to study in mixed schools are now more confident and expressive when interacting with their female colleague".
Moreover, there are other merits too. One of the advantage is that, it will teach students to respect their opposite gender. Sharing same desk, bench and classroom give students feeling of equality due to which they will learn to respect each other subconsciously. To illustrate, "A recent research conducted at two different college concluded that female students studying in single gender school have less feeling of empathy towards opposite gender than the female in mixed-sex background".
In conclusion, the merits of studying in mixed-gender school outweigh the merits of learning in single-gender school. For the reasons outlined above, I maintain that it is better for the students study in a mixed-sex setting rather than single-sex institution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of co-educational schools and takes a clear position throughout the response. The main ideas, such as understanding natural behaviour, reducing curiosity, and learning respect, are relevant and supported by examples. However, the development of these ideas tends to be somewhat superficial and relies on generalisations. For instance, the reference to a recent study is stated without much elaboration. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is organized into a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall logical arrangement. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. Words like 'whereas' and 'moreover' are used, but referencing and transitions between sentences can be awkward, such as starting the final paragraph with 'For the reasons outlined above, I maintain that it is better for the students study...'. Cohesive devices are occasionally inadequate or slightly misused, placing this essay firmly in the Band 6.0 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'curiosity', 'empathy', and 'subconsciously'. However, there are frequent word-formation and word-choice errors throughout the text, including spelling mistakes like 'globle' instead of global, 'trends' instead of trend, and unidiomatic phrases like 'education male and female students togetherly' instead of educating them together. While the range is adequate for the task and communication is not severely impeded, these noticeable errors in word formation and collocation prevent the lexical score from reaching Band 6.0, resulting in a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over grammar. There are, however, numerous grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and preposition use, such as 'Some people think educating students separately is the best approach. Whereas, in my opinion...' (fragmented sentence structure), 'enforce both male and female students to study in a single roof' (incorrect preposition and verb usage), and 'it is better for the students study' (missing infinitive marker). These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and show that complex structures are often faulty, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors well.
