Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this contemporary era, in many part of the world girls and boys are educated together in mixed school. Few general group thinks that it is beneficial for both to being educated separately. in my opinion we are not one to force anyone to go in the single sex-schools. it is totally on their hand. I totally disagree with this point.

To begin with, if any student learn separately in school and complete their education.. it is not good for them. they face many issues For instance they don't really socially active and don't know how the society will work. I think in my opinion parents force their children to do educations in separate schools. this is totally bad.

To lastly discuss the left out points, in many cities specially girls their parents force their child to complete their education in girls school or college. Moreover if we force someone to complete their education like this it will impact their mental health and also their child will be very frustrated. I think parents pressure their child. although not any single youngster want to spoil their life with this. For instance, there are many single-sex school in any city or country if child really want to enrol in that its their choice. parents don't have a right to make decisions on this topics.

In conclusion, I largely disagree with this point of girls and boys takes benefits to do their education seperately. it is their decision because they go their schools or college continuously almost 20 years. it becomes so frustrating.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by stating a clear position against single-sex schools and providing some relevant ideas, such as the impact on social skills and mental health due to parental pressure. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, with the argument frequently looping back to the idea that parents forcing their children causes frustration. While a position is maintained throughout, the reasoning tends to over-generalise and lacks fully extended examples, placing this response at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organised into paragraphs, and basic transitional markers are used, such as 'To begin with', 'To lastly discuss', and 'In conclusion'. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of clear logical flow between sentences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, using pronouns like 'it' and 'they' without clear antecedents, such as in 'if any student learn separately... it is not good for them. they face many issues'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is mechanical and faulty, resulting in a Band 5.0 score.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing words like 'force', 'education', 'school', and 'parents'. There are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations, such as 'mixed school' instead of 'co-educational schools', 'do educations' instead of 'pursue an education', and 'left out points'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a limited range that is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The writing relies on a limited range of sentence structures, with frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency. Examples include 'in many part of the world', 'Few general group thinks', and sentences starting with lowercase letters. Attempts at complex sentences often result in faulty grammar, such as 'although not any single youngster want to spoil their life with this'. Errors are frequent and can cause strain for the reader, aligning with Band 4.0.
