Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the present time Co-educational system is practiced in various parts of world. Few individuals argue that students get more benefits if they will educate separately. I strongly disagree with this statement because education is not dependent on gender classification.

On one hand, co-education is very crucial for students developement because throught this educational system students get much confident and ready to face the real the world. For instance, if students are in mixed school system they learn different skills from each other like, boys can learn more decilpline and calmness from girls, similarly girls can learn critical thinking and take assistance in sports from boys. Another benefit is that co-education prepare students for their future. After graduating when students parctically come into their professional life there is no gender separated companies they have to work with different people so at that time this education system really helps them to communicate and work with them.

Furthermore, girls and boys who are eduacated together in co-educational or mixed schools are more confident and prominent. For example, two of my university friends are graduated from two different school sysytem. One done her FSC from girls college and another did from co-eduational school, both are intelligent but the who are graduate from co-education system is more confident. she conveys her ideas properly, talk to male teachers effortlessly as compared to other one, who struggle even for a simple conversation.

In conclusion, co-educational school system has various personal and professional benefits on students, such as : confidence, self motivated, and communication skills. Although there are some banefits of separate education system but i strongly disagree that students get more benefits from it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The student presents a clear position throughout the response ("I strongly disagree with this statement"). All parts of the prompt are addressed, with relevant arguments presented regarding personal development, professional preparation, and social confidence. Ideas are extended and supported, particularly in the body paragraphs where the student draws upon examples and personal observations regarding university friends. However, some arguments tend to generalise and could be more deeply developed to reach the highest bands, placing this submission comfortably at Band 6.5 or 7.0. Given the clear positioning and well-sustained arguments, a Band 7.0 is well deserved.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay demonstrates clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Information and ideas are coherently structured into an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The student uses standard cohesive devices effectively ("On one hand", "Another benefit is that", "Furthermore", "In conclusion"). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as social confidence versus professional readiness. Although referencing is occasionally slightly repetitive or mechanical, the logical flow is maintained throughout the response, fully satisfying the requirements for Band 6.5 to 7.0. A score of 7.0 accurately reflects the overall structural clarity.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student has an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts less common items such as "gender classification", "professional life", and "critical thinking". However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including "developement", "throught", "decilpline", "parctically", "eduacated", "sysytem", and "self motivated". These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score because accurate control over less common vocabulary is inconsistent. This performance aligns best with Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditional structures and relative clauses (e.g., "if students are in mixed school system they learn different skills..."). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., "if students will educate separately", "get much confident", "the who are graduate"). Punctuation errors also occur. While these errors do not completely obscure meaning, they prevent the text from achieving a Band 6.5 due to the density of grammatical slips. Therefore, a Band 6.0 is appropriate.
