Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many regions of the world both the genders are educated together in co-educational or mixed schools. Some argues that girls and boys will gain more from being educated seperately in single-sex schools. I strongly disagree with the view, as it is unnecessay to have diffrent schools for students to learn and It might be a disadvantage for students to develope their social skills.
One of the reason for it being a negative development is that there is no strong evidence that making both gender study have any benefits. It seems like an unnecessary action and has many disadvantages to it. Educating girls and boys together indirectly promotes gender equality. Both gender can have same competition and opportunity while studying together. In many part of the world this patter is being followed and there is no strong evident that following this approach has any significant benefits to it.
Furthermore, developing social skills from early age is a important aspects for students. This basic skills will help in coming phases of life. Building relationships is necessary for younger generation. For instance, a boy studied at same sex school and a another boy studied at mixed school will have diffrent ideas and views on girls being working together in job.
In conclusion, In modern world, it is common for girls and boys to study together in mixed schools, though many argues that girls and boys studying seperated have benefits to it. I completely disagree with view as it has many disadvantages and this approach has no strong evident it being beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position against single-sex schools and providing reasons to support this stance. The main ideas, such as the promotion of gender equality and the development of social skills, are relevant to the prompt. However, the development of these ideas is limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding gender equality is stated multiple times without being significantly extended or supported with deeper analysis or concrete personal examples. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 6, as it addresses all parts of the task with relevant ideas, but these ideas remain somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and the response is divided into logical paragraphs. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion' are used to signal transitions between ideas. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the sentence 'One of the reason for it being a negative development' contains a grammatical slip in referencing, and the logical progression within body paragraphs occasionally stalls due to repetitive phrasing. Overall, the organizational structure meets the criteria for a Band 6.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'co-educational', 'gender equality', and 'social skills'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the essay, including 'seperately', 'unnecessay', 'diffrent', 'patter', 'evident' instead of 'evidence', and 'aspects' instead of an 'aspect'. Despite these frequent minor lexical and spelling inaccuracies, the meaning remains clear and communication is not impeded. This performance is characteristic of a Band 5.5 to 6.0, leaning towards a solid 6.0 for attempting a functional range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses ('a boy studied at same sex school and a another boy studied at mixed school will have diffrent ideas...'). There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly subject-verb agreement ('Both gender can have', 'One of the reason'), missing articles ('at same sex school'), and spelling which impacts word forms ('seperated' instead of 'separate'). While these errors are noticeable and require some effort from the reader to decode, communication is rarely completely impeded, placing the essay firmly at Band 5.0.
