Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this globalised economy of various parts of both individual category of men and women are being educated together in co-education schools. Some people think that these individuals can take benefit if they get education saparately in the same sex school.
I partly agree with this statement that if its better they study in single sex school. However, if they achieve education in a common school they will get more better real-life education.
On the one side, students get better education in the same sex school. The reason is, students are more likely to able to ask question during class and they can understand the specific topics easily. For example idividuals are studying any topic related medical its really convinient to disscus in the class. So finally in same sex school it squite easily to partcipate in class.
On the other hand, its a more great oppotunity to study in the mix school because styding in co-education idividuals are able to learn life skills and real life lessons. these institutions are promoting students to learn social life skills

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 250 words, containing only 177 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is limited and truncated. While the student attempts to address both sides of the argument—mentioning benefits of single-sex education such as asking questions more easily, and co-education for social life skills—the arguments remain under-developed. For example, the mention of 'topics related medical' lacks elaboration and clear support. Because the response is significantly under-length, it cannot fully satisfy the requirements of the task, capping the score for Task Achievement at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organisational structure with distinct paragraph breaks attempting an introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. However, overall progression is limited due to the brevity of the text. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate ('On the one side', 'So finally', 'On the other hand'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'if its better they study' without a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is used, but the individual paragraphs are extremely short and lack internal cohesion, resulting in a mechanical flow. This aligns well with the Band 5 descriptor for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain the reader's understanding. Examples include 'saparately' (separately), 'idividuals' (individuals), 'convinient' (convenient), 'disscus' (discuss), 'squite' (is quite), 'partcipate' (participate), 'oppotunity' (opportunity), and 'mix school' (mixed school). While the student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'globalised economy', the frequent spelling mistakes ('styding', 'convinient') and inaccurate collocations ('take benefit', 'achieve education') indicate a limited and minimally adequate range, fitting Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I partly agree with this statement that if its better they study in single sex school.' However, control over grammar and punctuation is weak, with frequent errors including missing apostrophes ('its'), tense inconsistencies, and awkward phrasing ('if its better they study', 'the reason is, students are more likely to able to ask question'). Complex structures are frequently faulty, and punctuation is occasionally neglected. These recurring errors cause some difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0 for grammatical accuracy and range.
