Student answer (Band 5.5)
The debate on education of both girls and boys in schools, some individuals have opinion that they have to study together while other contradict their percpective and saying that they have to study in separate schools for good results. I strongly agree with the co education like by co studies students got great confidence as well as having good competition among the opposite sex.
The confidence is playing a major role in communicating with others or by gaining anything so their potential rises up by good confidence. For example I did not get co education so when I came to university I felt muct introverted and have low self esteme brcause of I suddenly saw boys and lose confidence and make difficulties in my behaviour and in that case I do not getting remarkable education.
The competition is beneficial for studies like when we have strong competition then we study more and are more focused on our studies. So for instance girk to girl or boy to boy has low level of competition then it will cause worst results. Competition is playing major role in studies and also in co curricular activities like by great competition then students do a lot of hardship to get reward. In same gender their will not seen great competition but when opposite gender came in ground then their will be seen great competition.
To conclude my all discussion I would like to say about scools have co education that will be helpfull and greatful for both genders. Like by gaining confidence and great competition their will be good effects. It is universal truth that opposite genders attract each other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favour of co-educational schooling, but the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. While the writer attempts to present supporting arguments regarding confidence and competition, these points are repetitive and lack sufficient elaboration or convincing examples. For instance, the personal anecdote about university lacks detail and clarity, while the discussion on competition relies on broad generalisations rather than well-supported reasoning. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to fully extend their ideas with clearer explanations and more robust, relevant examples rather than looping back to the same points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisational structure evident in the response, with distinct paragraphs attempting to introduce the topic, present supporting points, and conclude. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, making the development feel disjointed. Cohesive devices are used repeatedly or inaccurately, such as excessive reliance on linking phrases like 'So for instance' and 'Like by', which disrupts the natural flow of ideas. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in confusing pronoun use and abrupt shifts between sentences. To improve cohesion, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive ties and ensure that each paragraph transitions smoothly into the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic stance on co-education. The writer attempts to use less common items, such as 'co-education', 'confidence', and 'competition', but noticeable errors in word choice and word formation cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include phrases like 'co studies', 'muct introverted', 'self esteme', and 'worst results' where more precise lexical items are needed. Spelling and morphological errors are frequent, reflecting a restricted control over word forms. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, pay closer attention to collocations, and reduce the frequency of word-choice and spelling errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic connectors. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, these are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Issues such as subject-verb agreement errors, missing or incorrect articles, faulty prepositions within grammatical patterns, and run-on sentences are prevalent throughout the text. For example, expressions like 'girls and boys are educated together in schools, some individuals have opinion' demonstrate poor clause connection and punctuation control. To progress, the writer needs to master basic sentence construction and demonstrate accurate control over a wider variety of complex grammatical forms.
