Student answer (Band 5.5)
In view of this discuss, I hold the view that getting education in co-education or mixed-environment school benefits the students or girls or boys more than the seing-sex schools. There are several reasons behind this and I will talk about only two reason why I hold this certain view.
First of all, a school is meant to be a place of learning. Learning or getting education is not just restricted to only reading books and learn about sceince or any other topic. It is about learning each perspective of life. Learn about gender discrimination. LEarn how to respect opposite gender and how to control or deral yourself when you are dealing in a real world. After finishing school, one has to hunt for workmor job. Aand in a work place, you have to work in co wrking space where girls and boys work together. If one has not learned in school that how to deal with opposite gender, then he or she will not be able tackle this same situation in future.
The second reason that I think is that the emotions and attraction that one holds for opposite gender. They do not learn automatically when they get older. Education about gender dealing comes from schooling. If one do not interact with the opposite gender starting from school, then he or she will not be able to deal them emotionally when they become an adult. How to give respect, how to love and what gestures to give and what to not, how to talk etc.
In the end, I want to conclude by saying that, Co-education is very important for children grroming and is an essential part of any boy or a girl.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task only partially, presenting a position that leans towards co-educational schooling, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. While the writer attempts to provide reasons regarding socialisation and preparation for the workplace, these arguments are repetitive and lack fully articulated examples. For instance, the discussion on learning to respect the opposite gender is introduced in the first body paragraph but merely rehashed in the second without offering distinct extension or depth. To move closer to a higher band, the writer would need to present well-developed ideas with fully elaborated explanations and specific examples rather than relying on generalized statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation evident in the division into paragraphs, but the response lacks a clear overall progression. The introduction contains repetitive phrasing and mechanical signposting, such as 'I will talk about only two reason', which disrupts the natural flow of ideas. Cohesive devices are used rather simplistically and at times inaccurately, with abrupt transitions between sentences and paragraphs—for example, the sudden shift in the second body paragraph beginning with 'The second reason that I think is that the emotions...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is frequently faulty. To achieve a higher level of coherence, the writer should ensure smoother logical transitions between sentences and establish a clearer progression of arguments from beginning to end.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer relies heavily on basic, repetitive terms, such as 'learning', 'education', 'school', and 'gender', which restricts the range of expression. There are noticeable lexical errors, including word form and collocation issues like 'seing-sex schools', 'workmor job', 'co wrking space', and 'grroming'. These errors and spelling slips stem from lexical and orthographic inaccuracies that occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve in this area, the writer needs to expand their range of vocabulary, incorporate less common lexical items with greater precision, and pay closer attention to correct word formation and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences or attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'If one do not interact', missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and fragmentary or non-standard sentence constructions such as 'LEarn how to respect opposite gender and how to control or deral yourself'. These frequent errors require the reader to occasionally expend effort to decipher the meaning. A higher band would require a broader mix of error-free complex structures, alongside significantly better control over basic grammatical patterns and punctuation.
