Student answer (Band 4.5)

In many parts of the world girls and boys are educated in co-educational or mixed school. While, Some peple think that girls and boys benefit from being educated separately in single-sex school.

I agree with that statement girls and boys benefit from being educated separately in single-sex group of schools. Why I agree , Because i think that if we study in separate schooling system so we get more focusing on studies. And the main reason is parents are satisfied on there childerens that there is no distraction of gender like if girl is going to school if it is single sex group school like there is only study in that school only girls so parents don't have to be worried about there child. There is not any type of distraction like boy's tease to girls so these kind of things parents make relaxed.

From my experience I studied in single sex group of school thats why I agree with this statement and the biggest thing is that studied from from without co-educational system is we get more ecourage with education and more focused. However, It is very helpful during the whole period of studies because without any distraction between girls and boys we easily cover our syllabus and get good grades and good percentage in higher studies which is very important and without getting in any relationship. It is my perspactive wethere, different people have different opinioun and I respect all opinions.

In conclusion, I agree with single sex schools and I respects all individuals perspactive and there thinking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view in favour of single-sex schools and offer relevant reasons: you say students can focus more, parents may feel reassured, and your own schooling supports your position. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or balanced consideration of the benefits of mixed schools, so the task is only partially developed. The response also contains 227 words, below the required 250; the 35 words copied from the prompt are not included in that count. Develop one or two reasons in more depth—for example, explain how fewer social distractions might affect classroom participation or achievement—and briefly acknowledge a possible advantage of co-education.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic structure, with an opening, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow your general position. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: the second paragraph moves from focus to parental reassurance and teasing without clearly separating or developing these ideas. Linking expressions such as “And the main reason,” “However,” and “In conclusion” are used, but some connections are unclear or do not show a genuine contrast. The final paragraph repeats your agreement rather than drawing together the reasons. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain it and give an example; use references such as “this concern” or “this experience” clearly to connect sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “single-sex,” “co-educational,” “distraction,” and “focused,” so your main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “good grades and good percentage” and “single sex group of school.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “peple,” “childerens,” “ecourage,” and “perspactive,” which reduce clarity and control. Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations and avoid repeating the same terms: for instance, describe students as “more attentive” and refer to “academic performance.” Proofreading for spelling and choosing natural phrases will make your argument more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express reasons and relationships using longer sentences, but the range is limited and complex attempts are often faulty. For example, “I agree with that statement girls and boys benefit…” joins clauses without the needed structure, while “if we study in separate schooling system so we get…” has an unclear conditional construction. Errors in articles, agreement and sentence boundaries also occur, as in “mixed school,” “I respects,” and the comma after “While.” These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “if,” and “although.” Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
