Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries, boys and girls are studying in co-education, but on the other hand, there are separate schooling is also provided. Many people prefer single sex education rather than co-education. This depends on personal preferences. But co-education develops skills like leadership, communication, and social skills.
Mixed education has its own advantages. Students can interact with each other and share knowledge. It helps with interaction, and they learn about sharing ideas and how to work with the opposite gender. It helps them in their professional life and career. When they work together on projects, they will be able to understand each other's point of view. Mixed education also provides the opportunity to compete with boys and girls. It builds confidence and strengthens their willpower.
Single sex education has fewer distractions. They will be able to focus on their studies easily. Students may be more comfortable and active in their studies. Single-sex education provides a more comfortable environment. This will increase their academic performance and concentration
However, I believe that co-education has more benefits than single sex education. In every country, many universities provide co-education, so it is beneficial for students. In jobs, men and women both are required to perform tasks and interact in meetings and the workplace. It also builds social skills to interact in social gatherings.
In conclusion, this depends on our mindset and how we want to bring up a child, and we choose those types of preschool for them. Overall, co-education allows students more opportunities. They will build stronger interactions in society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear preference for co-education in the fourth paragraph and give relevant reasons, including preparation for workplace interaction, confidence, and social skills. You also acknowledge possible benefits of single-sex schools, such as fewer distractions and greater comfort, so the response addresses both sides of the question. However, the position is less clear in the opening, where you say the choice “depends on personal preferences,” and the conclusion returns to this idea rather than firmly restating your view. Several points are asserted rather than explained: for example, you say mixed education strengthens “willpower” but do not show how. Develop fewer ideas with specific examples or explanation, and keep your degree of agreement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs discussing mixed and single-sex education, a paragraph stating your preference, and a conclusion. This makes the main ideas accessible. However, progression is somewhat repetitive and the links between ideas are often basic. “It helps” and “also” recur, while the opening’s “on the other hand” does not clearly connect the two clauses. The conclusion introduces preschool choice, which has not been developed in the essay, and the final two sentences repeat the general benefit of interaction. Use clearer topic sentences, vary linking expressions, and make each paragraph build toward your position. Ensure that references such as “This” clearly identify the idea they refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-education,” “single-sex education,” “academic performance,” “concentration,” and “professional life.” These terms help communicate the central comparison. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “interaction,” “helps,” and “benefits.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “studying in co-education,” “separate schooling is also provided,” and “strengthens their willpower.” This limits precision when explaining your ideas, even though the overall meaning is generally understandable. Aim for more accurate collocations and use a wider range of terms for collaboration, social development, and learning environments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate your main points using mostly straightforward sentences, and some longer structures are attempted, such as “When they work together on projects, they will be able to understand each other’s point of view.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “there are separate schooling is also provided” combines incompatible structures; “boys and girls are studying in co-education” uses an awkward tense and construction; and “This will increase their academic performance and concentration” lacks a final full stop. The opening also shifts between present forms without a clear reason. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
