Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often agrgued that boys and girls should be educated in seprate schools not together .However, I totally disagree with this viewpoint because co- educational have a lot of postives for scholars and their future professional lives .
To begin with , the benifits of studying in mixed schools improves communication skills , students learn to respect both genders . Moreover , they develop confiedence and teamwork skills . For instasnce, boys and girls working together on school projects help them in learning cooperation and problem solving . In addition , modren workplaces consist of both male and female . Mixed school prepares learners for proffesional environments.
In contrast , seprate schooling may reinforce gender stereotypes like what boys and can and cannot do . Moreover , it may lead to limited understanding of gender , limited social development seprate schools may prevent students from developing friendship and understanding different perspectives . Students may have fewer opportunities to talking confidiently with the opposite gender.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the opening: you “totally disagree” with educating boys and girls separately, and you give relevant reasons, including communication, teamwork, preparation for mixed workplaces, and the risk of reinforcing stereotypes. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly listed rather than explained or supported with developed examples. The paragraph on separate schooling also contains an unfinished idea (“like what boys and can and cannot do”), which makes the argument unclear. The conclusion is only begun and does not restate your view or summarise your reasons. The response is also 83 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop the argument fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting co-education, a contrasting paragraph, and an attempted conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “In contrast” help show the intended relationships between ideas. However, progression is limited because several points are presented as a list without explanation, and the final paragraph stops at “in conclusion,” rather than completing the essay’s progression. Some connections are unclear, particularly “like what boys and can and cannot do,” while the sentence about limited understanding and social development runs ideas together. Develop each paragraph around a clear main point, use complete transitions between claims and examples, and finish with a concise concluding statement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “communication skills,” “teamwork,” “gender stereotypes,” “social development,” and “professional environments.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both educational and future social effects. However, the range is limited, and spelling errors are noticeable throughout, for example “agrgued,” “seprate,” “benifits,” “confiedence,” and “proffesional.” Some expressions are also imprecise or awkward, such as “co- educational have a lot of postives” and “limited understanding of gender.” Check spelling carefully and choose more precise collocations, such as “co-educational schools offer several advantages” and “a limited understanding of the opposite sex.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including a reason introduced by “because” and a relative clause in “students learn to respect both genders.” However, the range is limited, and frequent grammatical errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the benifits of studying in mixed schools improves” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “Mixed school prepares learners” needs a plural subject or an article. The sentence beginning “Moreover, it may lead to limited understanding…” joins several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. The final “in conclusion,” is also an incomplete sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with one main claim and a supporting clause, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
