Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's rapidly growing world, the issue of boys and girls eduction should be in separate or in same school is still a considerable bebate. I beleve that both perspective have some value as co-education system breaks the unnecessary boundries, while separate education system allow the students to grow with out any opposite sex pressure.

One of the main importanct part of studying in co-education system is that, it brings confidence among students. By studying with opposite-sex, students able to accept one another, because every gender have some specific behaviour and attitude. For instance, if a student is studying in mix-education system he will better understand how to deal people with different personalities and as a result it will create a harmony among students. Therefor the peopel who studied with oppposite gender are much understandable and problem solver in their actual life.

There is a widespread belief in some culture that education system must be separate for evry gender. Students who studied seperately, are more focused towards study and more result oriented. For example sometime girls and boys spend their lot of precious time in getting ready to impress other gender or to look gorgeous rather than focusing on study, but in separate schools they do not feel any burden and they better able to focus on their studies. So, to get better result and reduce the pressure it is good for authorities to make sure the study of students in separate schools.

In conclusion, I believe that study is indispencible part of every one's life, both school system have some positive and negative aspects. Co-education provides the acceptance of others while single-sex schools are more focused and result oriented.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your response addresses both sides of the question and gives a recognisable position: co-education helps students accept one another, while single-sex schools may improve focus. The two body paragraphs each include a reason and an example, such as students learning to deal with different personalities and spending time trying to impress the opposite sex. However, the extent of your agreement is not made fully clear: the introduction says both perspectives have value, but the conclusion mainly summarises advantages without stating which view you support more strongly. Some claims, particularly that separate schooling produces better results, need clearer explanation or support. State your position directly and develop the comparison more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, one paragraph for each type of schooling, and a conclusion. This makes the main contrast easy to follow, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal examples and closure. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links between claims: the move from understanding different personalities to being “problem solver” is not fully explained, and the final recommendation for separate schools does not clearly follow from the balanced introduction. Some linking phrases are also mechanical or awkwardly placed. Make the relationship between each reason, example, and conclusion explicit, and use referencing and transitions more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-education,” “opposite-sex,” “personalities,” and “result oriented,” and the reader can generally understand your intended contrast. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “eduction,” “bebate,” “boundries,” and “indispencible.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “mix-education system,” “brings confidence among students,” and “understandable and problem solver.” These inaccuracies sometimes make the reader pause, which is consistent with this level of lexical control. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling, word forms, and collocations; for example, use “mixed-sex schools” and “develop confidence.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if a student is studying” and a contrast introduced by “while.” The main ideas remain understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. Examples include “both perspective have” (plural agreement), “students able to accept” (missing verb), “every gender have” (agreement), and “they better able to focus” (missing verb). Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “one of the main importanct part” and the opening question structure. These errors recur, although they do not usually prevent the reader from following the argument. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, complete verb phrases, articles, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts at longer structures.
