Student answer (Band 5.5)
Across the world, many people think that by splitting and providing education to their kids in single-gender schools but in most of the schools girls and boys are instructed at the same time in non segregated school or combined schools.
I totally agree with the individuals who think that it is crucial for pupils to study in integrated schools because it taught them a lot of things in their life like they mirror real world society and foster vital social skills. while separate education offers different academic advantages by minimizing gender based distractions.
There is an ongoing debate about whether they are performing better in single-sex schools and handle peer pressure more patiently and calmly. On the other hand, there are lot of reasons for the supporters of this view get distracted by the opposite gender at the time of adoloscence which leads to their poor academic result. co-educational schools provide a realistic side of society.
By learning together it develops their communication skills and emotional intelligence towards each other. They learn to respect each other's perspective and overcome awkwardness. It build mutual understaning and cooperation between opposite genders.
In conclusion all things considered, Although each view has its own merits, I believe that co educational schools are indespensable. on the other hand, single sex schools optimize academic focus but it does not create a sense of understanding between different genders.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in the second paragraph: you support co-educational schools because they reflect society and develop social skills, while acknowledging that single-sex schools may reduce distractions. However, the response only partly develops the task. The point about academic focus is mentioned, but the claim that students handle peer pressure more calmly is not explained or supported with an example. The discussion also shifts briefly to supporters of single-sex education without clearly connecting that point to your own argument. The response is 20 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasons. Extend each main idea with a specific explanation or relevant example, and maintain a clear position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, discussion of the two school types, a paragraph on social benefits, and a conclusion. The reader can identify your main position, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the paragraph beginning “There is an ongoing debate” moves from peer pressure to distraction and then to the benefits of co-education without a clear link. Some connections are also mechanical or unclear, and the conclusion repeats the contrast rather than drawing the reasons together. Give each paragraph one clear purpose, order supporting points logically, and use pronouns and linking phrases only where their references are unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “integrated schools,” “social skills,” “emotional intelligence,” and “academic focus.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both educational and social outcomes. However, the range is limited by repeated general wording, and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make parts of the argument less clear, such as “mirror real world society,” “a realistic side of society,” and “optimize academic focus.” Spelling errors such as “adoloscence,” “understanning,” and “indespensable” also affect the impression of control. Build a more precise set of collocations for discussing education, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast between the benefits of mixed and single-sex education. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors frequently interrupt the flow. For example, “because it taught them” does not agree with the plural subject “schools,” while “By learning together it develops” has an unclear subject and faulty construction. There are also run-on sentences, missing spaces after full stops, and inconsistent capitalisation, as in “society. while” and “In conclusion… on the other hand.” Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement, punctuation, and sentence boundaries.
