Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear view in the introduction: co-education is more beneficial because it prepares children for real life and develops social skills. You also give a relevant reason supporting single-sex schools, with an example about girls feeling more comfortable in science or mathematics. However, the response addresses the question only partially: the benefits of co-education are asserted but not explained or supported, and the opposing view receives only brief development. The conclusion repeats your position but ends with an incomplete explanation. The response is also 117 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop the argument. Explain both sides with specific examples and show more fully why you agree or disagree.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting one side, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “In conclusion” help readers recognise these stages, and the main position is consistent. However, progression is limited because there is no developed paragraph explaining the advantages of co-education, despite this being your stated view. The middle paragraph also stops abruptly at “take part. In classroom,” so the example and its connection to the argument are unclear. Some linking is mechanical, and punctuation spacing makes the text harder to follow. Organise the essay into complete paragraphs, use transitions to show how each reason supports your position, and ensure every sentence is finished.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “learning styles,” “participating,” and “communication,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-form errors make the writing less clear, such as “SIBGLE,” “DIFFRENT,” “COMFORTBLE,” and “CONCLUTION.” Some phrases are also imprecise or incomplete: “help students concentration better” does not express the intended idea naturally, while “because their social, communication and team work skills” lacks a clear meaning. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for discussing educational benefits, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both a complex opening sentence with “Although” and a reason clause with “because,” showing some ability to combine ideas. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and agreement occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to understand. For example, “single sex school provide” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “teaching methods that suit one group” is left as an incomplete sentence. The final phrase, “because their social, communication and team work skills,” is also grammatically unfinished. Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and full stops. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and punctuation.
