Student answer (Band 5.5)

Globally, most of the people believe boys and girls are educated combined in schools and collages. However, others think studying separately in single-sex schools without co-education will benefit them in their carrer. I completely disagree with this view.

Firstly, When they're grown adult they do not know how to talk with other gender. Because educating them separately in gender based schools will defenitely effect their future, they can not openup and might not able to communicate with other sex. For instance, Assuming a boy studied in a boys campus and completed education. Moreover, he need to work in an office where plenty of people work he wont able to talk with women there. As a result, educating them in mixed schools would be a good choice for their future.

Secondly, Some people believe that making them to study in separate male or female schools will benefit more rather than educating in mixed schools. Additionally, It is not true, for most of the extent in some cases it might be benficial. Some children with feminism and who are allergetic about other genders it suits that kind of people. For example, a girl who faced a lot of problems with the boys like bullying and any other problems caused by other genders. These kind of things would result studying in separate or single-sex schools.

In conclusion, i would say that educating people in co-education or mixed schools will gradually benefit them in future and building their carrer. So i won't suggest to make children study in single-sex schools.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely disagree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central comparison by arguing that mixed schools prepare students to communicate across genders, and you also acknowledge a possible exception involving students who have experienced bullying. These are relevant points, but they are not developed equally: the workplace example is introduced, yet its connection to school experience could be explained more fully, while the point about students who feel uncomfortable around another gender is unclear and risks weakening your argument. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits of mixed education in more detail and clarify how the exception fits with your overall disagreement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument, and the main idea of each paragraph is generally identifiable. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the second body paragraph moves from a claim about single-sex schools to an unclear qualification (“for most of the extent in some cases”) and then to bullying, without clearly showing how these points relate. Some links, such as “Moreover” and “As a result,” feel mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “co-education,” “single-sex schools,” “communicate,” and “bullying,” so the reader can understand the general subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “educated combined,” “benefit them in their carrer,” and “allergetic about other genders.” Spelling errors, including “collages,” “defenitely,” and “benficial,” also reduce accuracy. These problems sometimes make the intended meaning harder to interpret, particularly in the second body paragraph. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing social interaction and educational settings, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “Because” and a conditional example introduced by “where.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, verb forms and punctuation sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “When they're grown adult they do not know how to talk with other gender” has problems with the clause structure and singular/plural forms, while “he need to work” and “he wont able to talk” show errors in verb agreement and construction. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent. Practise building accurate complex sentences and proofread each sentence for complete clauses, agreement and punctuation.
