Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response refers to mixed and single-sex education and gives a view that appears to be against mixed schools in Pakistan, especially in the conclusion. However, the position is difficult to identify consistently: the opening says mixed schools are important, while later sentences say single-sex schools benefit students and mixed schools have bad effects. Most points remain general, such as saying education affects “people and society” or that families need “guidance and support”; they do not explain how separate schooling benefits boys or girls, or provide a relevant example. The discussion therefore addresses the topic only partially. To strengthen it, state clearly how far you agree, then develop two relevant reasons with explanation or a specific example, and ensure the conclusion matches that position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic essay shape, with an opening paragraph, a paragraph beginning “Moreover,” and a conclusion. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the ideas within paragraphs do not progress clearly: the first paragraph moves between public and private schools, family influence, and positive and negative effects without explaining their links. Several sentences are fragments or difficult to follow, including “Separately in singal sex schools in goverment public school in pakistan.” The conclusion also repeats the issue rather than summarising a developed argument. Organise each body paragraph around one clear reason, use linking phrases only where the relationship is clear, and make references such as “this situation” specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “single-sex schools,” “educational system,” and “guidance and support.” These terms show an attempt to discuss the subject, but the range is limited and several choices or spellings make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “drect effect on people and society” and “how people use intrested co-educational” are unclear, while “bad effect” is repeated instead of expressing the particular disadvantage meant. Frequent spelling errors such as “seprate,” “goverment,” and “igored” also reduce clarity. Build a small bank of accurate topic phrases and use precise collocations, such as “social interaction” or “academic performance,” only when they fit the point you are making.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
There are attempts to form longer sentences using clauses and connectors, for example, “It mainly depends on how people use…” and “If people, and society… the negative effects can be reduced.” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, so the reader has to work to infer the intended meaning. Examples include “the main reasons is,” “boys and girls is important,” and “this is agree in mixed schools”; these show problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. Punctuation spacing and comma use are also inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and clause structure before adding extra ideas. Short, accurate sentences would make the argument easier to understand while you develop more complex forms.
