Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is evident that issue of co-eduaction has become a topic of considerable debate and widespread discussion in modern society. A group of individuals believe that students get benifits by studying in single sex institutions. While, others argue that girls and boys should get education together under the same environment. I firmly believe mixed education should be promotes across the world so that gender equality must be accepted. This essay will not only elaborate on my viewpoint but also relevant examples to support it.

To commence with, one of the most significant reasons is that girls and boys should learn together because co-education boosts their confidence and self-improvement. Students can diligently study because of high competition among them. When both gender get education and knowledge under the same roof they will nore likely to move in their lifes without any fear of discrimination. For example, mixed educational centers provide awareness that now both genders are equal in their all sphere of lives. Girls and boys develop their communication skils to talk with opposite gender. They dont remain meek and shy instead they learn to speak for their rights.

Another crucial factor to consider is that in mixed schools they get used to work and enjoy with opposite type of gender. They motivate each other to achieve better grades and perform better in academic life. Adults have equal access to educational opportunities and also pursuing their careers in their selective field fearlessly. For instance, when boys and girls study together, they learn to respect each other's opinions and abilities. This helps reduce gender discrimination and prepares them to work together in their future careers.

In conclusion, mixed educational environment provides numerous merits related to a child's life such as communication skill, confidence and hard work . It should also be promoted to reduce discrimination and biased view.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you support mixed education, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons, including confidence, communication, mutual respect and preparation for careers. The examples about students learning to express themselves and respecting one another help address the question. This meets the task well overall, but the discussion is not fully developed in every area. The opposing view—that some students may benefit from single-sex schooling—is introduced in the opening but not considered further, so the extent of your agreement is not explored in much depth. Some claims, such as co-education reducing discrimination, would be more convincing with a specific example or explanation of how this happens. Develop the counterargument briefly and extend your strongest supporting points.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two focused supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with,” “Another crucial factor,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the main ideas generally remain relevant to each paragraph. However, the linking is somewhat formulaic, and some connections between claims could be made more explicit. For example, the move from confidence and competition to reduced fear of discrimination is not fully explained. The introduction also promises “relevant examples,” but the examples remain broad rather than specific. To strengthen progression, connect each example directly to the claim it supports and use a wider range of natural transitions and referencing rather than relying mainly on set phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “discrimination,” “communication skills,” and “educational opportunities,” which allows you to express the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “a topic of considerable debate.” However, noticeable spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices reduce precision: “co-eduaction,” “benifits,” “nore,” and “skils” are examples, while “selective field” and “opposite type of gender” are awkward in context. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly references to “girls and boys” and “mixed” education. Proofread spelling carefully and learn common collocations such as “career of their choice” and “students of the opposite sex”; this will make your vocabulary more accurate and flexible.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional structure “When both gender get education…” and the paired construction “not only … but also.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. Examples include “a group of individuals believe” (subject–verb agreement), “mixed education should be promotes” (incorrect verb form), and “both gender get” (plural agreement). The opening fragment “While, others argue…” is also not a complete sentence, and “This essay will not only elaborate on my viewpoint but also relevant examples” lacks a parallel verb structure. Work on agreement, articles and complete sentence construction, then check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb. More accurate complex sentences would improve clarity.
