Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this contemporary era, gender equality is an important issue in the society. Around the world, a wide range of schools are transformed to co-educational or mixed schools. Numerous individuals argued that, girls and boys should educate seperately in single sex schools. I partially agree this above mentioned notion such as it will helps them to focuss on their studies respectively, whereas, partially disagree as it will builds an insecurity to mingle with other gender.

To begin with, studiying in single-sex schools will helps both boys and girls to concentrates on their studies rather than involving in some controversies. In this society parents are trusting schools that are seperated to gender wisely, because the rules are strict in their. Students can also builds strong peer groups. For instance, girls are much confident for their studies in girs only schools morethan mixed schools. Thus, there are some benefits for both gender to studiying seperately.

However, there are some factores that are negatively affects the stdents which is, it will eventualy builds a gap between the adults that most of them does not have the confidence for a face to face coversation. For example, in the future, they would strugle to mingle in their worksplace and it is defenilty going to affect their work .

To conclude, there are positive and negative side when think about the notion. So , I partially agree for some reasons as well as partially disagree.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a relevant, balanced position by partly supporting single-sex education and partly opposing it. The two main reasons—students may focus more on study, while separation may make later interaction with the other gender harder—address the question. However, the position is only briefly explained, and the supporting points remain general: the example about girls feeling more confident is not developed, and the workplace concern is asserted rather than illustrated. The conclusion repeats your partial agreement without drawing the reasons together. The response is also 11 words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and state more precisely how far you agree.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph supporting single-sex schools, one paragraph presenting a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several claims are placed next to one another without showing how they connect, and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction. Some linking is awkward or unclear, as in “there are some factores that are negatively affects the stdents which is,” which makes the shift to the disadvantage difficult to follow. Build each body paragraph around one main idea, explain it step by step, and use clear references to connect examples to the claim they support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “single sex schools,” “peer groups,” and “confidence,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “gender wisely” for separating students by gender, “controversies” where you appear to mean distractions or problems, and “face to face coversation.” There are also repeated misspellings such as “seperately,” “studiying,” and “defenilty.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; a few precise expressions will strengthen your argument more than using ambitious wording inaccurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in the introduction and a reason introduced by “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to follow. For example, “it will helps them” should use the base verb after “will,” while “single-sex schools will helps both boys and girls to concentrates” contains the same pattern and an additional verb-form error. In “there are some factores that are negatively affects,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject. Practise building accurate sentences with modal verbs, subject–verb agreement, and clear clause boundaries before adding more complex structures.
