Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, many countries in the world are promoting co education and conducting classes where male and female students get education from same school. Many people argue that, girls and boys should get education separately in single gender institute. I partially agree with both these points to some extent.
In todays world, it is essential for girls to study with boys to become more confident, because we can see girls are working equally as boys. Both male and female have equal rights. Females are working in every field of life. As it is obvious that girls are contributing and participating in vast fields either its teaching or medical relagted fields girls are participating fully. So by getting their education from co education school system helps them to enhance their confidence in their later life.
On the other hand, some people believe that it is not important for girls to study with boys or in uni-sex schools. Because mostly boys are not much interested in their studies and more into other activities such as drugs. As bad companies have negative impacts on others too. For example, some girls that are from lower backgrouds or their families are more religious , their parents send them to school and not allow them to make male friends but girls start making male friends and cannot pay attention to their studies which can effect their grades.
To sum up this, i believe that there are many benefits of co-education as it helps girls to become more confident and competitive but their are also some negative points so students should know their limits and pay more attention to their studies rather than on other activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question by discussing advantages of co-education and concerns that may support single-sex schooling, then state a qualified position: “I partially agree with both these points.” The confidence and equal-rights argument is relevant, and the example about family expectations gives some support to the opposing view. However, the position is not fully clear: the conclusion favours co-education while also referring generally to “negative points,” without explaining how far you support separate schools. Some claims, such as boys being “more into” drugs, are broad and not sufficiently justified. Develop both sides with more balanced, specific reasoning, and make your degree of agreement consistent from introduction to conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals the shift to the opposing argument, while “To sum up” marks the ending. This makes the main direction understandable. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, particularly where the discussion moves from boys’ interests to drugs and then to girls’ friendships and grades. Some linking is mechanical, and the long example is difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and divide complex explanations into shorter steps. Ensure pronouns and references point clearly to the people or ideas intended, and connect each example explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-education,” “single gender,” “equal rights,” “confidence,” and “competitive.” These terms help communicate the central ideas, but the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as repeated use of “girls are participating” and “get education.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “relagted,” “backgrouds,” and “uni-sex,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for more precise collocations and avoid broad expressions such as “other activities” when you can name the concern clearly. Vary key terms carefully rather than repeating the same wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because we can see girls are working equally as boys” and a conditional example beginning “if their families…”. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages harder to follow. For example, “Females are working in every field of life” is followed by a sentence with unclear structure, while “their are also some negative points” has an agreement error. There are also problems with articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation, such as the comma after “argue” and the fragment beginning “Because mostly boys…”. Practise building accurate clauses and checking agreement, articles, and punctuation.
