Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countires, girls and boys are taught together in co-educational or mixed school. Some people believe that girls and boys beneift from being educated separately in single-sex schools.

I firmly believe that girls and boys should be educated in mixed school because it helps to build their communication skills, thinking-ability, understanding to the gender, and a social environment.

Firstly, childrens educated in a particular school helps them to interact and learn different community and feelings. The most important feelings are love, anger and attraction. Among this three feelings, without girls, boys will be unable to feel this senseation casuing evolution problems. For example, in those countires girls and boys are taught separately have a low feeling. It is because they did not got an opportunites to understand oppositer gender. As a result, those countries population felt dramatically.

Secondly, childrens can learn about an opposite gender physical probelms. Every month for a once, girls suffer from period cramps. Most of the young boys are unaware about it because of the envirnoment or lack of understanding to the gender. If both boys and grils are educated in a same school then they can understand this sexual knowledge slowly and perfectly. This knowledge will help them to judge the situation.

In my view, both girls and boys should be taught in a same school, so they could learn about evolutions, feelings and probelms. In addition, it will reduce population crises and improve economy of countries.

In conclusion, schools should promote sexual education to both gender equally. It will help to over come serious problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you support mixed schooling, and you give two relevant reasons—communication between genders and greater awareness of girls’ health. These points address the question, but the response only partially develops the argument. The claim that mixed schools prevent “evolution problems” and reduce population crises is unclear and not convincingly connected to the benefits of co-education. The example about period cramps is more specific, but you could explain how shared education leads to respect or practical understanding. The conclusion shifts to promoting “sexual education,” which is related but not identical to the question of school arrangements. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and keep the focus on whether students benefit from being educated together or separately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the main points, and each body paragraph broadly focuses on one reason. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the discussion moves from feelings and attraction to evolution and population without explaining the links. Phrases such as “Among this three feelings” and “As a result” do not make the relationships between ideas clear. The conclusion also introduces sexual education rather than neatly summarising the argument about mixed schools. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its main point, and use referencing and linking phrases only where the logical relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “co-educational,” “opposite gender,” “period cramps” and “population crises.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument hard to understand, such as “low feeling,” “evolution problems” and “understanding to the gender.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “countires,” “beneift,” “sensation” (written as “senseation”) and “envirnoment.” These errors sometimes obscure your intended meaning, particularly in the first body paragraph. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing social skills, awareness and health, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer familiar, accurate expressions over ambitious wording that does not convey a clear idea.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “If both boys and girls are educated in a same school then they can understand…” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include “girls and boys are taught together in co-educational or mixed school,” “childrens educated… helps,” and “they did not got an opportunites.” These show problems with articles, plural forms, subject–verb agreement and verb patterns. The sentence beginning “Among this three feelings” also has an unclear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses once the basic agreement and verb forms are secure. Proofread each sentence for articles, plurals and tense.
