Student answer (Band 5.5)

it is often argued that girls and boys benefit from being educated seperately in single sex schools, I strongly agree with this statement for several reasons.

to begin with one of the main reason is that girls and boys represent the ultimate contrast, this is because the seek of each one of them to the other due to an universal inevetibilitie, one of the negative outcomes of mixed schools is the loss of focus and education thoughts eventually reaching an intertwined mind full of unnesessary desires, many people will see this as an exageration but the truth is not .

furthermore, another important reason is that the seperated schools has recorded better propotions of the students total average, in another world the results of only boys classroom and only girls classroom is way better than a mixed one in terms of them being diligent and striving to achieve their academic goals, this is becuase each one of them is better in terms of communication and team work and collaboration with hes own sex, from another view some countries consider that mixed schools is a very unethical practice due to some relegion reasons such as saudi arabia, and still relying on a seperated education regime from the primmary school to the university.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that seperated education in single sex schools, is the best way to reach all the academice targets planned by the governments becuase of the uncountable benefits of this strategy with several results and real evidence.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You state a clear position in the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and maintain it in the conclusion. The response gives two relevant reasons: possible distraction in mixed schools and claimed academic benefits of single-sex classrooms, with Saudi Arabia offered as an example of a country using separation. However, these points are only partly developed. The claim that students’ averages are better is not supported with specific evidence, and the discussion of religious practice does not clearly demonstrate educational benefits. The argument about distraction is also asserted rather than explained in a balanced way. The response is 243 words, so it falls seven words short of the required minimum; eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each reason with a clear explanation or relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs introduced by “to begin with” and “furthermore,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic sense of the argument’s direction. However, progression within the paragraphs is not always clear. The first body paragraph moves from attraction between students to loss of focus without explaining the connection, while the second combines academic performance, teamwork, and religious practice in one long sequence. Linking phrases such as “in another world” and “from another view” are inaccurate or do not clearly signal the relationship between ideas. Use one main point per paragraph, explain it in a logical order, and choose transitions that accurately show contrast, cause, or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “co-educational,” “academic goals,” “collaboration,” and “education regime,” and these choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to interpret, such as “universal inevetibilitie,” “intertwined mind,” and “unnesessary desires.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “the students total average” and “the ultimate contrast” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than complex-sounding wording, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for academic outcomes and classroom interaction would help make your reasoning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, particularly when explaining causes with “this is because” and when adding a qualification such as “many people will see this as an exaggeration.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to follow. For example, “one of the main reason is” has a number-agreement error, and “the separated schools has recorded” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening sentence also joins two independent clauses with only a comma, and several sentences run on without clear punctuation. Practise building shorter, controlled sentences first, then combine ideas using accurate subordinate clauses and punctuation. Check articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries during revision.
